and Youth Art Exhibit, sponsored
by Crescent Bank and the Sharptop
Arts Association, will remain open
just three more days. It may be
viewed from 10 a.m. 3 p.m. this
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The public is invited and admis
sion is free. The Art Center is locat
ed on D. B. Carroll Street, one
block behind the Old Jail.

Dr. Curtis Chapman, Chair of the
Art Department at Reinhardt Col
lege.
Over 300 students from 17 Pick
ens County School classes toured
the exhibit last week and many
more will have seen the exhibit by
its close this Friday.
The show includes work by stu
dents of the following teachers:
Cindy Brown - Pickens High, Dana
Hass - Pickens Middle School, Alli
son Elton - Jasper Middle School,
Rebecca White - Tate Elementary,
Dr. Kathy Thompson - Jasper Ele
mentary and Angela Ladamus - Hill
City Elementary. In addition, works
by Judy Morris' students at Wild
wood Christian Academy are on
display as are those of students at
Joy House under Carol Hutchison.

art teachers, as a group, requested
that their students' work not be
judged. The Exhibit Coordinators
agreeds and suggested that Honor
able Mention be awarded to several
outstanding pieces. This agreement
has been followed for the past sev
eral years.
JASPER ELEMENTARY this year
asked that their entries not be
judged at ALL, considering that all
participants were winners.
