Under and by virtue of the Power of Sale
contained in a Security Deed given by Robert
M. Gorham to FT Mortgage Companies d.b.a.
HomeBanc Mortgage Corporation, dated
September 23, 1996, recorded in Deed Book
264, Page 322, Pickens County, Georgia
Records, as last transferred to Chase
Mortgage Company by assignment recorded
in Deed Book 382, Page 815, Pickens County,
Georgia Records, conveying the after-
described property to secure a Note in the
original principal amount of One Hundred
Thirty-Two Thousand Fifty and 0/100 Dollars
($132,050.00), with interest thereon as set
forth therein, there will be sold at public outcry
to the highest bidder for cash before the
courthouse door of Pickens County, Georgia,
within the legal hours of sale on the first
Tuesday in June 2004, the following described
property:
See Exhibit “A” attached hereto and
made a part of hereof.
The debt secured by said Security Deed
has been and is hereby declared due because
of, among other possible events of default,
failure to pay the indebtedness as and when
due and in the manner provided in the Note
and Security Deed. The debt remaining in
default, this sale will be made for the purpose
of paying the same and all expenses of this
sale, as provided in Security Deed and by law,
including attorney’s fees (notice of intent to
collect attorney’s fees having been given).
Said property will be sold subject to any
outstanding ad valorem taxes (including taxes
which are a lien, but not yet due and payable),
any matters which might be disclosed by an
accurate survey and inspection of the
property, any assessments, liens,
encumbrances, zoning ordinances,
restrictions, covenants, and matters of record
superior to the Security Deed first set out
above.
To the best knowledge and belief of the
undersigned, the party in possession of the
property is Robert M. Gorham and Dorothy L.
Gorham or a tenant or tenants and said
property is more commonly known as 2422
Alpine Drive, a/k/a 618 Alpine Drive,
Jasper, Ga. 30143.
The sale will be conducted subject (1) to
confirmation that the sale is not prohibited
under the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and (2) to
final confirmation and audit of the status of the
loan with the holder of the security deed.

Under and by virtue of the Power of Sale
contained in Deed to Secure Debt from
Jonathan Collins Cotner and Michele Marie
Cotner to Phillip J. Caylor, dated August 26,
1996, recorded in Deed Book 259, Pages 288,
Clerk’s Office, Pickens Superior Court,
undersigned will sell at public outcry during
the legal hours of sale before the door of the
courthouse in Pickens County, Georgia, on
the first Tuesday in June 2004, to the highest
bidder for cash, the following described real
property:
All that tract or parcel of land lying and
being in the 13th District, 2nd Section of
Pickens County, Ga. and being part of original
Lot of Land No. 88 and being all of subdivided

Rights has been filed as to the minor child
born on Sept. 24, 1998 and March 22, 2000,
filed by the Georgia Department of Human
Resources, acting through the Pickens County
Department of Family and Children Services,
on April 12, 2004, said petition seeking to
terminate all of your parental rights with
respect to said children and all rights and
obligations of the said child to you, including
rights of inheritance. You would not after said
order be entitled to notice of proceedings for
the adoption of the child by another person,
nor have any right to object to the adoption or
otherwise participate in the proceedings.
You are therefore given notice of said suit
and are directed to file any response within 60
days of the order for publication which was on
the 16th day of March 2004. You have a right
to a free copy of the petition filed in this case
which you may obtain from the Clerk of
Superior Court, Pickens County, upon
identifying yourself, or from the Pickens
County Department of Family and Children
Services.
You are further given notice that the
hearing on the petition for termination of
parental rights is set for June 17, 2004 at 9:30
a.m. at the Pickens County Courthouse.
You are entitled to counsel in these
proceedings and the Court will appoint
counsel if you are unable without financial
hardship to employ counsel.
Be advised that the biological father who is
not the legal father of these children shall lose
all rights to the children and shall not be
entitled to the termination of his rights to the
children unless within 30 days of receipt of
this notice he files (1) a petition to legitimate
the children pursuant to OCGA 19-7-22 and
(2) notice of the filing of the petition to
legitimate with the Pickens County Juvenile
Court.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that a Public
Hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 29,
2004 at 8:30 a.m. for comment on the
Housing Authority of the City of Jasper
Agency Plan and for comment on the decal
policy of Housing Authority vehicles. The
documents are available for review at the
Authority’s central office located at 164
Landrum Circle, # 147, Jasper, GA. The public
hearing will also be held at this location. Any
person wishing to comment may file his or her
comments in writing with Ann Dobson,
Executive Director of the Housing Authority, at
the central office no later than the date
specified above, or may attend the public
hearing. All comments will be considered in
preparing the final plan before submittal to the
US Department of Housing and Urban
Development. The Housing Authority hours of
operation are 8 am to noon and 1-5 pm,
Monday through Friday.

NOTICE OF ASSET SALE AND
TERMINATION OF THE MEDICARE
PROGRAM PARTICIPATION
Pursuant to an Asset Purchase
Agreement, the Mountainside Medical Center
will be sold to Piedmont Medical Center, Inc.
and , as a result, will be operated and
controlled by Piedmont Mountainside Hospital,
Inc. effective June 1,2004. Please be advised
that the Mountainside Medical Center as
operated by Southern Health Corporation of
Jasper, Inc. will no longer participate in the
Medicare Program (Title XVIII of the Social
Security Act) effective June 1, 2004. The
agreement between the Mountainside Medical
Center and the Secretary of Health and
Human Services will be terminated on June 1,
2004 in accordance with the provisions of the
Social Security Act. Therefore, the Medicare
Program will not make payment to the
Mountainside Medical Center as operated by
Southern Health Corporation of Jasper, Inc.
for services furnished to beneficiaries on and
after June 1, 2004. Piedmont Mountainside
Hospital, Inc. is in the process of arranging the
participation of the Mountainside Medical
Center as operated by Piedmont Hospital, Inc.
will, upon its introduction into the Medicare
Program, receive payment in connection with
services furnished to beneficiaries on and
after June 1, 2004. No interruptions to
services is expected during this time of
transition of the operation and control of the
Mountainside Medical Center.
