Alexine Gibson died on Saturday
May 8, 2004 in Monroe, Ga. She
had been in a personal care home
there for several years.
Years ago she was Sunbeam
Director for the Georgia Baptist
Woman’s Missionary Union.
Alexine moved from this posi
tion to be the personal secretary to
Dr. Searcy S. Garrison, executive
director of the Georgia Baptist Con

until Dr. Garrison retired.
Alexine was a good friend to
Betty Anne and to me.
She was a devoted, thorough and
dependable Servant in the Lord’s
work - in her church, in the WMU
and in the Georgia Baptist Conven

In her later years she was cared
for by her dear friends, Mrs. Lynn
Franklin Goings and Dixie and Bob
Franklin of Monroe.
Jesus has now said to her: “Well
done, thou good and faithful ser
vant. Enter thou into the joy of thy
Lord.”
