Happy Ramblers
Things have slowed down a
little around my house this
week. I had that trip to Canada
and then our anniversary cele
bration and I am also doing
some work in my kitchen, all
this has been going on. I had
been rushing around with all
that and so when those things
were over (the kitchen isn’t
over yet but gone as far as we
could at this time) it seems like
I think “What do I do next?”
Of course there are a million
things I need to do! I haven’t
even complete “spring clean
ing” which has now turned to
summer cleaning.
I have been having lots of
fun getting my pictures togeth
er from the trip and the
anniversary. Truman said he
never saw so many pictures in
his life nor had he ever known
anyone who liked them as well
as I do!
Summer time bring a
change in our Happy
Rambling and we miss getting
together on a regular schedule.
However, we do keep in touch
and most of the group has been
doing the regular summertime
things, canning, freezing and
going to revivals at our differ
ent churches. The gardens just
haven’t done well this year
because of the dry weather, but
still different ones have had
enough to divide around and
so we have all been able to
enjoy the fresh vegetables.
Maybe if the showers will con
tinue (we still have not had
much rain here in Talking
Rock) we will all be able to
have a few fresh home grown
tomatoes for sandwiches.
