Jane Adams
Jane Adams, age 64 of
Jasper, Ga., passed Saturday,
July 21, 2007. She was a mem
ber of Open Door Baptist
Church where she was the
church treasurer.
Survivors include her hus
band, Jimmy Adams, Jasper;
son. Clay Adams, Jasper; and
grandchildren, Chandler, Colby
and Destiny.
The funeral service was held
Monday, July 23 at 2 p.m. from
Castellaw Funeral Home Chapel
with the Min. Gary Beard and
Rev. Dean Kenyon officiating.
Interment was in the Daniel
Family Cemetery.

Albert Girard
Mr. Albert Tracy Girard, age
68 of Adairsville, Ga., formerly
of Jasper, passed away
Thursday, July 18, 2007 at Well
Star Kennestone Hospital in
Marietta.
Survivors include his wife,
Sharon Girard, Adairsville;
mother-in-law, Norma G.
Dickinson, Adairsville; step-son
and step-daughter-in-law, Britt
and Mandy Carr, Locust Grove,
step-daughter and step-son-in-
law, Melissa and David
Hermosillo, Statham, Ga.; and
sister, Rosa Girard Thurman,
Marietta. Two grandchildren
and 11 nieces and nephews also
survive.
The funeral service was held
Saturday, July 21 at 2 p.m. from
the Chapel of Cagle Funeral
Home with the Revs. Jacob
King, Dwight Keith and Joe
Edwards officiating. Interment
followed in Sharptop Baptist
Church Cemetery. Pallbearers
were: William Cantrell, Brady
and Jimmy Girard, Donnie
Reeves, Don Lecik and Bryan
Miles. Honorary pallbearers
were: Dave Hermosillo, Mike
Thurman and Britt Carr.

Gerald Lawson
Mr. Gerald Green Lawson,
age 72 of Bent Tree, Jasper, Ga.,
passed away Friday, July 20,
2007 at his residence.
Survivors include his wife,
Mona Stewart Lawson, Bent
Tree; son and daughter-in-law,
Joshua Caraway and T.J.
Lawson, Bent Tree; daughters
and son-in-law, Camden
Lawson and Tim Eng,
Highlands Ranch, Co., and
Mona Louise Lawson,
Kennesaw, Ga.; brothers,
Charles Lawson, Montgomery,
Al., and John Lawson, Punta
Gorda, FI.; and grandchildren,
Jordan Shelby Eng, Nathan
Cade Eng, Margaret Claire Eng,
Benjamin Caraway Lawson and
Rachel Wrenn Lawson. Mr.
Lawson was preceded in death
by a brother, William Lawson.

Dorothy Wilson
Mrs. Dorothy Ann Wilson,
age 60 of Cartersville, passed
away July 14, 2007 at Kindred
Hospital in Atlanta.
Survivors include step-sons,
Timmy and Larry Wilson, both
of Talking Rock; daughter,
Patricia Wilson, Atlanta; step
daughters, Irene Foxworth,
Acworth, and Glenda Wilson,
Talking Rock; brothers, Mark
and Herman Dodd, both of
Winder, Ga.; sisters, Margie
Salyers, Dawsonville, Mary Lee
Worship, Dublin, and Joyce
McNeal, Locust Grove. Seven
grandchildren, two great-grand
children and several nieces and
nephews also survive.

Mr. Thomas “Tom”
Anthony Goetz, age 65 years,
passed away June 23, 2007 at
his residence in Red Level, Al.
Tom succumbed to his bat
tle with cancer and passed on
to the presence of our Lord
with two of his children by his
side holding his hands.
Survivors include his sis
ters, Lois Hayes, Airville, Pa.,
and Carol Goetz, Ephrata, Wa.;

Goetz, Defuniak Springs, Fl„
and Thomas Goetz, Jr. and wife
Aimee, Wellington, FI.; daugh

Twelve grandchildren, three
great-grandchildren and
numerous nieces and nephews
also survive.
Tom was carried to his final
resting place on June 26 at Mt.
Carmel Cemetery by Jodi and
Doug Rodberg, John Goetz,
Thomas Goetz, Jr., Cory
Rodberg, Justin and Brian
Mosiello.
Tom was always full of life
and selflessly gave his precious
time and help to his dear
friends and family until he was
called to our Lord. His smile
will forever live in our hearts,
his memory will never fade
and will be deeply missed by
his children. He will always be
a hero who fought cancer
courageously.

Mrs. Annie Robinson
McMichael, age 79 of 78
Sunset Lane, Jasper, Ga., for
merly of Tallapoosa, Ga.,
passed away July 5, 2007.
Mrs. McMichael was born
April 30, 1928 in Carrollton,
Ga. to the late Marlow Joseph
and Bessie Mae Coffey
Robinson, Sr. In addition to
her parents, she was preceded
in death by her husband,
Russell McMichael; son,
Jimmy Robinson; granddaugh
ter, Rhonda Robinson Gray;
sister, Shirley Jones; and broth
er, Billy Robinson.
She was employed by the
Arrow Shirt Company and was
a member of Pine Grove Baptist
Church.
Mrs. McMichael is survived
by her daughter and son-in-law,
Charlotte Robinson and Bryan
Cheatham, Jasper; sons and
daughters-in-law, Carroll
Robinson and Ann Brooks,
Wayne and Mary J. Robinson
and Harold and Joyce A.
Robinson, all of Bremen, Ga.,
Charles “Ronnie” and Judy
Robinson, Temple, Ga. Nine
grandchildren, six great-grand

children, one step-grandchild,

Saturday, July 7 at 4 p.m. from
the Chapel of Miller Funeral
Home with the Revs. Chester
Pesnell and Pat Patterson offici
ating. Music was provided by
Tim and Bryant Hand.
Pallbearers were: Joey
Robinson, Jamie Robinson,
Bryan Cheatham, Glenn
Henderson, Johnny Benefield
and Chip Lenkerd. Interment
followed in Pine Grove Church
Cemetery. Miller Funeral Home
of Tallapoosa was in charge of
the arrangements.

Motorcycle Ride & Benefit
There will be a motorcycle
ride and benefit for Kevin
Newberry on August 18. The
motorcycle ride registration will
begin at 9 a.m. and the ride will
start at 10 at Fairmount School
Gym. Kevin passed
away suddenly June 26, 2007 of
a massive heart attack. He was
only 20 years old and has a 1-
year-old daughter. The ride will
be in memory of Kevin and will
help get his headstone. The cost
of the ride will be $20 a bike and
you will get a ticket for a free
meal after the ride.
The benefit will begin at 6
p.m. at Fairmount School Gym.
Tickets will be sold for a $100
bill and a homemade quilt.
There will be live entertainment
by The Southern Band, a cake
walk, auction, food and more.
All riders please come. Any and
all donations will be greatly
