American Pickers coming to area
AMERICAN PICKERS
HAVE ANY ITEMS, A COLLECTION, OR JUNK YOU WANT TO SELL?
DON’T QUITE KNOW WHAT’S IN YOUR BARN OR STORAGE SHED?
Frank and Mike are always on
the hunt for rusty gold, and
they want to hear from you! If
you have a large collection you
think is worth the pick and
want to appear on American
Pickers, now's your chance!
READY
TO SELL?
To be considered you MUST email us at:
americanpickers a cineflix.com
Or leave a message at: 1-855-OLD-RUST
Be sure to include the following info:
• Your name
• Contact number
• Description of your item(s)
If you and your rusty gold qualify, you
could be visited by Mike and Frank and
appear on American Pickers!
PLEASE NOTE: No retail shops or flea
markets After all. Mike and Frank are
modern day archaeologists!
Happy Picking!
Mike Wolfe doesn’t just be
lieve “one man’s trash is another
man’s treasure.” No. Wolfe em
bodies dumpster diving. For him,
garbage gleaning is an art; one he
continues to perfect each week
on HBO’s hit show “American
Pickers,” which airs on the His
tory Channel. And pretty soon,
Wolfe and buddy Frank Fritz
could be gracing the back roads
and bams of rural Cherokee
County, if we’ve got enough
“rusty gold” to get them here!
The show’s production team
wants Cherokee residents to e-
mail or call if there’s a junkyard,
basement, garage, bam, shed or
something else that’s stuffed to
the rafters with long-overlooked
gems. Flea markets and retail
need not apply. That’s not what
Wolfe and Fritz are after. They
are only looking for private col
lections. Nothing that’s open to
the public. If you’ve got the bait,
snap a couple pictures and email
them to: americanpickers@cine-
flix.com or call 1-855-OLD-
RUST and leave a description
along with your digits.
Just keep this in mind: The
“antique archaeologists,” as they
like to be called, are love old ad
vertising signs, motorcycles, old
toys (tin, wind-up and cast iron),
pinball and slot machines, taxi
dermy, early Boy Scout items,
pre-’60s TV merchandise, musi
cal instmments. Civil War an
tiques, vintage gas pumps, sports
memorabilia, Houdini items, old
rodeo items, folk art, early Hal
loween items, vintage sports col
lectibles, firefighter collectibles
and pre-’50s westem/equestrian
gear, etc.
What doesn’t rank so high
are: farming/agriculture items,
tools, glassware, appliances,
tractors, stoves or country primi
tives.
American Pickers is produced
by Cineflix Productions. New
episodes air Wednesday nights at
9 p.m. ET.
