Sale in a certain Deed to Secure Debt
from DECCA ANN RAY to COMMUNITY
BANK OF PICKENS COUNTY, Grantee,
dated June 13, 2013, recorded in Deed
Book 1004, pages 298-308, Pickens
County, Georgia Records, said Deed to
Secure Debt having been given to secure
a Promissory Note dated December 19,
2013, in the principal amount of
$43,775.68, there will be sold by the
undersigned at public outcry, during the
legal hours of sale before the door of the
Courthouse of Pickens County, Georgia,
or at such other location as established by
O. C.G.A. Section 9-13-161(c),on the first
Tuesday in February, 2016 to-wit,
February 2, 2016, to the highest and best
bidder for cash, the following described

The debt secured by said Deed to
Secure Debt and Note has been and is
hereby declared due and payable in full
because of non-payment pursuant to the
terms of said Deed to Secure Debt and
Note. Notice has been given of intention
to enforce provisions for collection of
attorney's fees and foreclosure in accor
dance with legal requirements and the
terms of the Deed to Secure Debt and
Note. The indebtedness remaining in
default, the sale will be made for the pur
pose of applying proceeds thereof to the
payment of the indebtedness secured by
the Deed to Secure Debt, and expenses
of the sale and other sums secured by the
Deed to Secure Debt, including attorney's
fees, and the remainder, if any, shall be
applied as provided by law.

Big changes are in sight for
NASCAR in 2016. The first
thing is we will miss seeing Jeff
Gordon on the race track and
start trying to get accustomed to
his voice in the television broad
cast. Maybe the old trick of
watching the television and lis
tening to the race on the radio
will work if you don't care to
hear Jeff and the other announc
ers on the television side.
Next we will have the big
going away fanfare for Tony
“Smoke” Stewart. Smoke will
be on a quest to win at least one
race so that he will make “the
Chase” for this his final year.
Will he be able to win a race as
bad as he ran in 2015? His per
formance at the end of the 2015
season had not improved from
that at the beginning of the sea
son.
Smoke's leaving will at least
give the television voices some
thing to speculate on as far as
Smoke's future is concerned.
Will he start racing Sprint Cars
again? Will he spend all of his
time with the NASCAR Cup
teams racing under the Stewart-
Haas Racing banner? Or will he
spend most of this time with his
race track, Eldora? Will he be
buying more short tracks to
operate under his corporate con
glomerate umbrella?
Did you know that Smoke
owns at least a dozen compa
nies? True Speed Enterprises
III, Inc. which he owns is the
parent for twelve companies
owned by Stewart. He also
owns Tony Stewart's Original,
Inc., The Tony Stewart
Foundation, Inc., Tony Stewart

This scribe became aware of
the Custom Works Rc Products
company when attending a
media event while Smoke was
still at Joe Gibbs Racing. Tony
was to race a contest winner rac
ing with radio controlled (RC)
cars. The contest winner had
picked the method of competi
tion not knowing that Tony
owned a RC company. The con
test winner was lapped within
five laps by Stewart.
Tony does not appear to have
a lack of businesses to keep him

A big question on the minds
of many NASCAR racing fans
will be which driver will be the
first first-time winner in Cup
racing. Will it be Kyle Larson,
Chase Elliott, Austin Dillon,
Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Danica
Patrick, or maybe one of the
other rookies?
Who are you picking to win
the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
championship in 2016. Will it
be Joey Logano or maybe Matt
Kenseth? Both Team Penske
and Joe Gibbs Racing ended the
2015 season at the front of the
pack but will they remain there?
We will find out in the middle of
February as the Daytona 500
approaches. Will Tony Stewart
go out on a high note by winning
the championship for 2016?
Can Tony right the ship before
his retirement? Since the Gibb's
cars are running so well will
Carl Edwards finally get his
championship? Or will one of
the other Gibb's drivers Denny
Hamlin or Kyle Busch add
another championship? Have
we counted Rick Hendrick,
owner of Hendrick Motorsports,
out of the picture just because he
lost Jeff Gordon as a driver?
Could it be Jimmy Johnson
again or Kasey Kahne for his
first? Chase Elliott could make
“The Chase” but will he win the
championship? My dark-horse
pick to win it, Dale Earnhardt Jr.
What a popular champion he
would be.
You can see there are plenty
of reasons to be excited about
the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup
Series racing. Let us hope that
the racing on the track is as good
as last year and only gets better!
A week ago this past week on
Sunday night Talladega Short
Track's concessions, VIP suite,
and control tower burned. No
one was hurt but the structures
were a total loss. With the big
race the “Ice Bowl” on the
schedule for January 7 through
10 it looked like it might have to
be canceled or at least post
poned. But owner Lynn
“Preacher” Phillips says the
show will go on and will go on
at the same time it was sched
uled. Cold weather, freezing
weather, snow storms, knee-
deep rain and now fire, nothing
has stopped the “Ice Bowl.”
Another great year of racing
starts with the “Ice Bowl.”
More dirt track racing is on
tap as Boyd's Speedway in
Ringgold, GA will offer practice
on January 22 and then on
January 23 they will present
their “Cabin Fever” event fea
ture race.
