Last Sunday, January 15
was an exciting time for FCC
as we had 100+ members
move forward to join the
church! Yes, 100+and more
expected. We are a covenant
church, so at midnight on
December 31 each year our
church goes from the full
number in membership that
year to 0. Then we have the
joy of seeing those present on
the Sundays in January,
move forward to resign the
church covenant once again;
humbly and joyfully entering
into covenant with one an
other as one body in Christ;
seeking to serve the Lord in
Marble Hill, the surrounding
areas; and wherever the Lord
leads us to go and share His
love and the Gospel. You can
read the church covenant at
www.foothillscommunity-
church.org under the head
ing; about FCC.
We thank God for the lady
who came to faith through
Christ on Sunday as she felt
the Lord touch her life
through the message. Our
love, prayers and encourage
ment will be with her as she
grows in Christ in the days
and years ahead.

Fellowship Presbyterian
Church (ECO)
“Though we have differ
ent gifts, together we are a
ministry of reconciliation led
by the risen Christ. We work
and pray to make His church
useful in the world, and we
call men and women to faith,
so that in the end, every knee
shall bow and every tongue
confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord, to the glory of God the
Father.
Within our common min
istry, some members are cho
sen for particular work as
Ruling Elders. In ordination,
we recognize these special
ministries, remembering that
our Lord Jesus said:
‘Whosoever among you
wants to be great must be
come the servant of all, and if
he wants to be first among
you, he must be the slave of
all men! Just as the Son of
Man came not to be served,
but to serve, and to give His
life to set others free.’
Matthew 20: 26-28”
New student pastors
at Living Word
Cameron & Krystal Youngblood and their
children Emory’ and Owen.
These words are an ex
cerpt from the Service of Or
dination and Installation
during our worship service at
Fellowship Presbyterian
Church (ECO) this past Sun
day morning. During this
service Thomas Griffin and
Diane McMullen were
anointed and ordained as life
time Ruling Elders in the
Presbyterian Chinch (ECO),
pledging themselves to be
leaders in the church through
their response to a series of
questions. Thomas and Diane
were then installed along
with Sara Corkill, who was
previously ordained and will
now serve a second consecu
tive term. All three now serve
a three year term as active
Elders of the Session of Fel
lowship Presbyterian Chinch
(ECO). Elders Henry Hall
and Jenny Harvey now revert
to inactive elder status.
Presbyterian chinches de
rive our name from the Pres
byterian form of government,
which is governed by repre
sentative assemblies of eld
ers. Presbyterianism is a part
of the reformed tradition
within Protestantism which
traces its origins to John
Knox in Scotland dining the
1500’s. A great number of re
formed churches are organ
ized this way, but the word
Presbyterian, when capital
ized, is applied uniquely to
churches such as Fellowship
Presbyterian that trace their
roots to the Scottish and Eng
lish Presbyterians.
Please accept this per
sonal invitation from every
one at Fellowship
Presbyterian Church (ECO)
to join us in worshiping our
Lord. Our worship services
are on Sunday mornings at
10 a.m. We are located at 389
Bent Tree Drive in Jasper.

A SIMPLE THING
I f this house had
not been neglected,
it would still be
functional today.
Just a coat of paint
and some constant
care might have saved
it from the damaging
destruction of time.
Our Father can
protect us from the
wear and tear of life.
If we open our hearts
and let him in, the
reward will be great.
As you attend your
house of worship
this week, let God
be your shield and
your reward. He will
protect your soul
and keep your spirit
shining and new. It’s
such a simple thing.
