Georgia Community Action,
Inc. has a continuing role to
provide weatherization as
sistance to residential
homes of low income fami
lies in the North Georgia
area. With the projects, sub
contracted work may be re
quired to service and/or
install heating and air condi
tioning equipment in resi
dential homes, to perform
minor heating and cooling
repairs on residential
homes, perform minor HVAC
upgrades on residential
homes, plumbing repairs
and install weatherization
measures as determined by
the weatherization audit.
All applicants must be cur
rently licensed to conduct
business in the State of
Georgia and be licensed
and/or certified in the trade
of HVAC services and
Plumbing services, as re
quired by the State of Geor
gia. In addition to the initial
application, all applicants will
be required to sign a service
agreement and provide re
quired information listed
within the service agreement
and maintain current general
liability insurance limits with
$2,000,000 in the aggregate
combined limit, $1,000,000
per occurrence and no de
ductibles greater than
$25,000. Valid Workman’s
Compensation coverage will
be also required, where
Georgia State law requires
the employer to maintain
such coverage.
