Mailer nee
Robert Eugene Mallemee,
89, of Jasper, Georgia, passed
away Wednesday, December
2, 2020 at Wildwood Health
Care. He was born Septem
ber 5, 1931 to Rusk Bing and
Elizabeth Mallemee in
Cadiz, Ohio. He was an Elder
at Etowah River Church of
Christ.
Mr. Mallemee is survived
by his sons and daughters-in,
Dwight and Dianne
Mallemee of Blue Ridge,
Greg and Betty Mac
Mallemee of Gumming; sis
ter, Marlene Mallemee of
Duluth, Minnesota; brother,
Kenneth Mallemee of Cadiz,
Ohio; three grandchildren;
and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by
his wife, Dolores Katherine
Mallemee.
Due to COVID-19, a cel
ebration of life will be
planned for a future date.

Marty Hightower
Mr. Marty Hightower, 39,
of Fairmount, GA, departed
this life, Sunday December 6,
2020 at Piedmont Newnan
Hospital. Marty was bom
January 1, 1981 in
Cartersville, GA. Marty en
joyed playing the guitar, fix
ing cars and he mostly loved
pulling pranks on family and
friends.
Marty is survived by his
wife, Kerry Hightower of
Canton, GA; daughter,
Ruthann Hightower of Can
ton, GA; father, Sammy
Hightower of Chatsworth,
GA; mother, Patsy Mullinax
of Fairmount, GA; sisters,
Stacie (Sabas) Rodriguez of
Rydal, GA, Kristy Harris of
Fairmount, GA, Cassie Pin
ion of Canton, GA; brother,
Dakota Hightower of Ellijay;
grandmother, Evelyn Mulli
nax and several nieces and
nephews and friends.

life of Marty was held Satur
day, December 12, 2020 at 2
p.m. from Ponders Fairmount
Chapel with Pastor Harold
Hightower officiating.

John Sapp
John Richard Sapp, 76, of
Talking Rock, GA passed
away on Saturday, November
14, 2020 surrounded by his
wife and daughters. He was
born to James Walter and
Jacquetta Mae Sapp on Sep
tember, 24, 1944 in Spring-
field, MO.
He is survived by his lov
ing wife of 57 years, Rebecca
E. Sapp. Rick is also survived
by his daughters, Donna M.
Phillips of Buford, GA and
Linda K. (Jason) Fitts of
Jasper, GA; sister, Jacquetta
L. (Charles) Yedinak of
North Fort Myers, FL; 10
grandchildren, 4 great-grand
children, as well as a host of
nieces and nephews and
other family members.
He is preceded in death by
parents James Walter and
Jacquetta Mae Sapp, brother
James Walter Sapp Jr., and
daughter Sherry Lee Turner.
Rick had a passion for na
ture and photography. He
combined the two hobbies to
create many amazing images.
He also had a life-long love
for playing tennis. Rick was
a devoted husband, father
and grandfather. He will be
greatly missed.
A service and internment
was held at Milton Fields,
Milton GA. Donations can be
made in Rick's honor to the
Cherokee Arts Center.
Peggy Costello
Peggy Ann Costello, 66,
of Jasper, Georgia passed
away Thursday, December
10, 2020 at Piedmont Moun
tainside Hospital. She was
bom July, 9 1954 to Kenneth
and Luella Allen. Peggy
worked at the BP in Jasper.
She is survived by her
husband, Angelo Costello of
Jasper, Children, Vernon and
Nichole McNemar of Nel
son, Vincent and Mandy Mc
Nemar of Daphne, Alabama;
Eric Lee and Kim McNemar
of Jasper, fourteen grandchil
dren, two great-grandchil
dren, brothers, sister and
other relatives.

Bill Hall Jr.
William "Bill" Howard
Hall, Jr., 79, of Jasper, Geor
gia, passed away Saturday,
December 12, 2020 at his
home. He was born March
11, 1941 to William Howard
Hall, Sr. and Elizabeth
Spradley Hall in
Milledgeville, Georgia. In
2001 Bill and his wife,
Angie, moved to Jasper after
building their retirement
home here. He was a dedi
cated member of the First
Baptist Church of Jasper.
Bill is survived by his
wife, Angie Hall of Jasper;
son and daughter-in-law, Ric
and Jessie Hall of
Somerville, Alabama;
brother, James A. Hall of
Florida; grandchildren, Jacob
and Stephanie Hall, Jay Hall,
Jude Hall, Cheyenne Price;
and great-grandchild, Marley
Price. He was preceded
in death by his daughter,
Kelly Ann Price and grand
son, Jonah Hall.
Funeral services will be
held at 11 a.m., Thursday,
December 17, 2020 at the
First Baptist Church of Jasper
with Reverend Preston Jones
and Reverend Greg Pope of
ficiating. Interment will fol
low at 2 p.m. at Kennesaw
Memorial Park: 1306 Whit
lock Avenue NW; Marietta,
Georgia 30064.

Bozeman, 86, of Jasper died
Sunday, December 13, 2020
at Wildwood Nursing Home.
Mrs. Bozeman was born
on May 22, 1934 in Mc-
Caysville, Georgia to the late
John Burton and Willie Mae
Ballew. She worked as a
cook for most of her life. Her
hobbies included sewing and
collecting baby dolls. She is
preceded in death by her par
ents; her husband, Mack Cic
ero Bozeman; sister, Louise;
brothers, Frank and Burton;
and three sons, Allen Lanier
Bozeman, James Lamar
Bozeman, and William "Bill"
Marion Bozeman.
Survivors include daugh
ter, Diane (Joel) Collis of
Fairmount; son, Wallace
(Angie) Bozeman of
Thomaston; sister, Mary of
Gainesville; brothers, Homer
of Louisville, Kentucky,
Clyde of Jasper, and Billy of
Jasper; 14 grandchildren,

Landon Bozeman, Marlena

nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death
by his spouse Donna Lynn
Barker Bivens.

chapel of Cagle Funeral

Belnap officiating.
Interment was at Sunrise
Memorial Gardens following
the funeral service.

heart, Traci Bryant; special
friend, David Cornett of Ball
Ground; sister, Linda Sue
Easterwood of Jasper; broth

Brody Blackwell, Kristen
Hyde and Carter Joe Hyde;

cember 13, 2020 at Sunrise
Memorial Gardens, with Rev.
Greg Long officiating.

Carolyn Prather O'Neal,
84, of Lawrenceville, Geor
gia, passed away Sunday,
December 13, 2020 at
MeSun Health Services in
Lawrenceville, Georgia.
She was born November
13, 1936 to Edd and Irene
Prather in Jasper, Georgia.
Carolyn grew up in Jasper
and graduated from Pickens
County High School. Car
olyn played basketball for
PCHS for four years. During
that time, the team won two
state championships and was
runner-up to the champions
the other two years. During
the four years that Carolyn
played, the team only lost
three games and needless to
say, she made the All State
Team.
Carolyn loved to travel.
She and Bob, along with their
friends, enjoyed several won
derful trips. Carolyn and Bob
loved the Georgia Bulldogs.
They enjoyed going to
Athens, not only to see foot
ball, but to watch the tennis
and baseball teams as well.
Carolyn was a member of
Refuge Baptist Church for 69
years. She also enjoyed going
to Grayson UMC in Grayson,
Georgia.
Carolyn is survived by her
beloved husband of 44 years,
Robert (Bob) O'Neal of
Lawrenceville; brother, Ed
(Gene) Prather of Jasper; two
sisters, Barbara P. Wood of
Jasper, Ethelene and Bob Nix
of Monroe; nephew, Ken
Wood of Jasper; niece, Jan
and Jody Dowda of Jasper;
special great-niece and -
nephew, Kimsey Dowda and
Joe Dowda; nephew, Ted and
Sandy Thacker of Roswell,
Georgia; brother-in-law and
sister-in-law, Johnny and
Ginger O'Neal of Gumming,
Georgia; nephew, John
O'Neal III of Greenville,
South Carolina. Several
cousins and friends also sur
vive.
Carolyn was preceded in
death by her father and
mother, Edd and Irene
Prather; sisters, Lula P. Little
and Lorene P. Batson.
Carolyn was a kind and
wonderful person. She was
like a second mother to her
nieces and nephews. Carolyn
was loved so very much by
her family and friends. She
will be greatly missed.
The funeral service will be
held December 17, 2020 at 2
p.m. at the chapel of Roper
Funeral Home with Reverend
Larry Johnson officiating.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. until
2 p.m. prior to the funeral. In
terment will follow in the
Refuge Baptist Church
Cemetery.
