Robert
Kintner, Jr.
AKA-Bob,AKA-The
Raven, AKA-Snowbird 3
The Man, the Myth, the
Legend. He turned down the
title of the Worlds Most Inter
esting Man because it would
have been a demotion. He
was a super genius, and had
he not chosen to use his pow
ers for good, would have
made one hell of an evil mas
termind.
He loved God, his coun
try, his wife and his dogs, not
necessarily in that order. He
hated hypocrites and stupid
people. He loved Hungarian
food, camping, shooting big
guns, traveling (always an
adventure), drinking very
good bourbon, helping others
and flying, also not necessar
ily in that order. His favorite
places were New Orleans,
Las Vegas, New Smyrna
Beach, Hope Town Abacos
and Jasper, Georgia.
When he was 17, he grad
uated high school early, got
his parents blessing and
joined the Army. He was a bit
crazy and wanted to jump out
of perfectly good airplanes,
so he went to jump school
then became a member of the
82nd Airborne Division
3rd/504th.
In 1990, after his service
he met his future wife, Sher
rie, and they married in Oc
tober 1991 and lived in
central Florida. He was a
boat mechanic and had his
own mobile repair business
for seven years, then decided
he wanted to pursue his life
long dream of learning to fly.
That decision would change
the course of his and many
other lives.
By 1998 he had earned his
pilot ratings through MEII,
CFII, ATP and was assistant
chief pilot for American Fly
ers in Kissimmee, FI. In
2000, he was offered a chief
pilot position at Northside
Aviation in Kennessaw, Ga.
That is when Joe Gravalec
came in to learn to fly. They
Obituaries
became fast friends and de
cided they could build a bet
ter flight school, one where
fun and safety could go hand
in hand. They opened Supe
rior Flight School on Sep
tember 11, 2001. A hell of a
day to open a flight school,
all aircraft were grounded,
airspace was closed for two
weeks... but despite the odds
their school made it through
the tough times and for 18
years, Joe and Bob’s school
helped train thousands of pi
lots.
Bob was always interested
in learning new things and he
loved helping people. In
2010 he became a volunteer
firefighter for Pickens
County at Yellow Creek Sta
tion 9. He got his EMT, Wild
land firefighter and
wilderness EMT ratings. He
was Cherokee County Volun
teer of the Year in 2012. He
became Chief of Station 9 in
2016. He was a dedicated
champion of “his” volun
teers, he loved them all like
family. He always made sure
they had the latest equip
ment, technology and support
that was available.
He was a smart-assed,
lovable scoundrel with a
heart the size of Texas. He
was the kind of friend who’d
bail you out of jail (unless he
was sitting in there with you),
the kind of friend who’d help
you hide a body (not that he
ever did, but he would have).
He’d give you advice or the
shirt off his back depending
upon your need.
Bob loved to shoot and
was a staunch supporter of
our Second Amendment
rights. He was a lifetime, pa
tron member of the NRA. He
was a NRA pistol instructor
and taught many people to
safely shoot and carry guns.
He competed in IDPA and
other tactical matches around
the US.
He was also a movie star.
Tom Cruise was lucky
enough to star in the movie,
American Made, with Bob.
He was a stunt pilot and
played the character Snow
bird 3. He filmed scenes in
Ball Ground at the Cherokee
County Airport and in New
Orleans.
Bob was a modem renais
sance man who lived life to
its fullest and then some. He
leaves behind a legacy of
love, laughter, talented pilots,
flight instructors, firefight
ers,EMTs and support per
sonnel. He left an indelible
impression on everyone he
encountered. He was tndy
larger than life itself.
He is survived by his wife,
Sherrie Kintner, his Dinkies-
Loki, Matilda, Dazy and
Spike. His mother, Eva Kint
ner; brother and sister-in-law,
Doug and Crislyn Kintner;
sister and brother-in-law,
Dawn and Pete Hartman;
aunt Kathleen and uncle
Kenny; nephews and nieces,
Colby and Carissa Kintner,
Christopher and Lindsey
Hartman. As well as all his
flight school and firefighter
families.
Bob died on December
19, 2020 while trying to save
a bunch of puppies and or
phans from a burning build
ing...not really, it was colon
cancer that got him in the
end, no pun intended. No
family history, he was 51
when diagnosed and he
fought valiantly for 11
months, never losing his con
cern and appreciation for oth
ers or his wicked sense of
humor.
Memorial services will be
held at Veterans Memorial
Park in Jasper on Saturday
January 16, 2021 at 11 a.m.,
followed by a Celebration of
Life Party at the Lodge at Old
Mill in Jasper. And what a
life to celebrate. We love you
and miss you Raven, fly free
and we will see you again in
the kingdom of Heaven.

Tom Eubanks
James Thomas Eubanks
Jr., 80, of Marietta, died on
January 9, 2021.
Tom was born in Jasper
on July 13, 1940 where he
resided until moving to
Smyrna in 1957. Graduating
from Campbell High School,
Tom attended the Georgia In
stitute of Technology major
ing in Architectural Design.
Early in his career Tom ex
plored careers at Lockheed,
Cleve Cail Associates, Cobb
Board of Education Facili
ties, H.E Hodge Company,
and Rhodes Furniture. Tom
pursued his passion of archi
tectural design by creating
his own company, T. De
signs, where he designed and
renovated homes and busi
nesses throughout the North
Georgia area, including nu
merous homes in the gated
community of Big Canoe.
After marrying Barbara
Floyd, a first-grade teacher in
Cobb County, Tom and Bar
bara relocated to Pickens
County. Tom renovated the
Eubanks’ family home
known as The Cagle House,
originally built by Tom’s
great grandfather in 1871.
Under Tom’s careful design,
the Cagle House was restored
and eventually placed on the
National Registry of Historic
Places in 2002. Not only did
the Cagle House serve as a
bed and breakfast for many
years, but the restored home
became a welcoming destina
tion to travelers from the
Friendship Force, a club fos
tering cultural connections
between international coun
tries. Tom and Barbara were
involved in welcoming
Friendship Force ambassa
dors into their home through
out the years, hosting more
than 20 groups from 15 dif
ferent countries. As a part of
this international project,
Tom and Barbara also had the
unique and notable opportu
nity to serve as exchange di
rectors for an architectural
program with St. Petersburg,
Russia with the Chief Archi
tect of the Hermitage serving
as their host.
As an active member of
his community, Tom served
as president of Optimist
Clubs in both Smyrna and
Jasper and later as Georgia
Governor of Optimist Inter
national. He also served as
co-chair of Georgia Marble
Festival, a member of Rotary,
and a volunteer for Good
Samaritan’s Health and Well
ness Center. Always willing
to lend a hand in civic re
sponsibilities, Tom was a
founding member of Marble
Valley Friends. His efforts
within this group were instru
mental in securing National
Village status for Tate, Geor
gia as well as securing the
rights to the Tate Depot and
Tate School Gym for the
community. To continue his
and Barbara’s legacy of com
munity service, Tom’s estate
will establish a scholarship
program for beginning teach
ers in the name of his devoted
wife, Barbara Jean Floyd Eu
banks.
Tom was preceded in
death by his parents J.T. and
Louise Cagle Eubanks and
his wife Barbara Floyd Eu
banks. One of six children,
Tom is survived by sisters

(Brenda) Eubanks- Marietta,
