Chattahoochee Tech offers option
to earn high school equivalency
Chattahoochee Technical
College now offers two ways
to earn a high school equiva
lency diploma - the GED test
and the HiSET exam.
Both the GED test and the
HiSET exam measure high
school equivalency skills that
reflect the skills of a high
school graduate. Chatta
hoochee Tech offers free
classes to help students pre
pare for taking either exam.
Students also have the option
of taking these exam prepara
tion classes online or in per
son. Scholarships and
financial aid may be available
to help cover the cost of tak
ing either exam. With experi
enced instructors, free classes,
and free practice tests, earning
a high school equivalency cre
dential has never been easier.
The GED and the HiSET
high school equivalency cre
dentials are recognized by
employers, technical colleges
and some four-year universi
ties. Both the GED and
HiSET high school equiva
lency credentials open the
door to a brighter future and
better job opportunities.
“For anyone who didn’t
finish high school, we encour
age them to earn either the
GED or the HiSET high
school equivalency creden
tial,” said Chattahoochee Tech
Director of Adult Education
Chris Hord. “A better life is
grounded in a solid education,
and we’re here to help.”
