Happy Ramblers
by Ann Parke
Life is Good
Although I have had two
shots and waited the appro
priate length of time for the
actual virus, we still wear our
masks. Tony doesn’t go in
many places where there will
be several people. I went into
Belks and it was so different.
There were about three or
four shoppers, two employ
ees and the whole store
looked so different I just
couldn’t believe. We were in
for about 10 minutes and
upon leaving, we went to a
carryout for a sandwich for
my first time there. It was
called Firehouse. The sand
wich was very tasty and I had
enough for two days. We
came on back through
Waleska and down through
the Salacoa Valley and
through roads that only Tony
Parks would have been able
to take me on. To all of you,
this would not be much
pleasure, but to me it was a
sheer delight and gave me
many things to think on for
quite some time.
Just spending this much
time with Tony without hav
ing to talk through a glass
was a great part of the joy of
my outing.
Life is good and I am truly
blessed.
