March Youth of the Month - Evelyn M. is
a 4th grader at Hill City Elementary School.
The Boys & Girls Club of
Pickens County would like to
congratulate Caitlin C. and
Evelyn M. on being the
Youth of the Month Award
recipients for the month of
March. Each of these young
ladies has shown outstanding
character and leadership
qualities, and we are excited
to recognize them for it.
Caitlin C. is an 8th grader at
Pickens County Junior High
School and has been a mem
ber of the club for over three
years. She enjoys coming to
the club because it gives her

happy, friendly, and busy
making friends while she is
here. Her favorite activities at
the club are creating projects
in our art room and playing
with her friends in the gym.
In the future, Evelyn plans to
graduate from high school,
get a job caring for pets, and
become a veterinarian.
The Boys & Girls Club of
Pickens County is excited to
see all that these two young
leaders accomplish in their
lives, and is looking forward
to helping them achieve their
dreams along the way.

Organizers say the first
Be a Hero Brunch last
weekend was a huge suc
cess for the Boys & Girls
Club of North Ga.
Cassie Rasco, director
of development for the
non-profit, reported that
300 people attended to hear
comedian Kenn Kington.
Jordan Dean, the clubs’
Youth of the Year, spoke
with confidence and con
viction.
The event raised thou
sands of dollars for the kids
of Pickens, Gilmer & Fan
nin counties.
