cate former members whose
capital credit refunds were is
sued in 2015, (for electric serv
ice received in 1995-1996) but
have remained unclaimed.
A current list of these members
is posted on www.amicalo-
laemc.com. Persons may also
view this list at any local Am-
icalola EMC office Monday
through Friday during the hours
of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The last possible date to claim
these refunds is August 31,
2021. If funds are not claimed
by this date, funds will be do
nated for approved uses as per
mitted by the above referenced
code section.

Sealed proposals will be re
ceived by the City of Jasper,
Georgia at the Jasper City Hall,
200 Burnt Mountain Road,
Jasper, Georgia 30143 until
2:00 p.m. local time, Tuesday,
May 4, 2021, at which time and
place they will be publicly
opened and read. No submitted
bid may be withdrawn after the
scheduled closing time for re
ceipt of bids for a period of sixty
(60) days.
The work to be done con
sists of furnishing all materials,
equipment and labor for the re
pair and painting of the Lilly Cir
cle 250,000 gallon elevated
water tank.
Time allotted for construction
is 150 consecutive calendar
days for substantial completion
and 180 days for final comple
tion.
Proposals for the complete
work in one general contract
shall be made on the proposal
form provided and shall contain
prices in words and figures for
the work bid on.
All proposals shall be ac
companied by a Bid Bond drawn
in favor of the City of Jasper,
Georgia, in the amount of at
least 10% of the lump sum bid
for the complete work; such Bid
Bond representing that the Bid
der, if awarded the contract, will
promptly enter into contract and
furnish Performance Bond and
Payment Bond as provided by
law and approved by the Attor
ney for the City of Jasper, Geor
gia. Each bond shall be equal to
100% of the contract amount.
The Bid Bond shall be forfeited
to the City of Jasper, Georgia as
liquidated damages if the Bidder
fails to execute the contract and
provide Performance and Pay
ment Bonds within 10 days after
being notified that he has been
awarded the contract.
Specifications are open to
public inspection at the office of
the City of Jasper, Georgia and
at the offices of Turnipseed En
gineers in Augusta and Atlanta,
Georgia.

may be obtained from

citizens in the Eighth Congres
sional District on Tuesday, May
11, 2021. The meeting will be
held from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
at Lanier College & Career
Academy & The Oaks, 2719
Tumbling Creek Road,
Gainesville, GA 30504.
The purpose of the hearing
is to hear comments from inter
ested citizens and educators
within the congressional district
regarding the performance and
problems of public education.
Persons wishing to speak
should sign in upon arrival.
