The Pickens County Li
brary in Jasper, located at 100
Library Lane, will be closed
to the public beginning May
17 to prepare for upcoming
renovations and expansions
of its facilities in 2021
through 2022. Construction
is projected to begin this
June. After the library closes,
a temporary, limited-service
library location called “Pick
ens Grab & Go” will be
available inside the Mountain
Education Charter High
School building, located at
339 West Church Street. The
Grab & Go location is antic

early June 2021.
The library has launched a
webpage at www.sequoy-

project detailing the
construction project with an
swers to common questions.
Visitors can check the page
frequently for updates about
the renovations and expan

date and service hours of the
Pickens Grab & Go tempo

Summers, Executive Director
of Sequoyah Regional Li
brary System, says “In addi

access the most up-to-date
announcements during the
Pickens construction, our
community may always con
tact the library online or via
social media to receive assis

services, hours, locations,
and programming.”
When the Pickens County
Library closes on May 17,
the outdoor book return box
will be closed as well. Any

from the Pickens County Li
