I’m looking good!
This article has nothing to
do with pretty. It’s all about
health.
Most people know that for
the past several months I
have been very sick. When a
person of my age loses a
great deal of weight and is on
very strong medication, their
looks can really change.
Many people would not
know me if they saw me. I
look very haggard and worn.
Well, for some unknown
reason, for the last several
days I had begun to feel that
I was better. Today, before I
even got up, I had this great
feeling. “I’m feeling nor
mal!”
I don’t want to be mis
leading because the pain, etc.
was still there. It’s hard to ex
plain. However, I felt normal.
I looked in the mirror. I had
pink cheeks, a sparkle was in

my eyes and I looked nor
mal! I was so exited. I put on
my red lipstick, a little bit of
make-up, more colorful
clothes and a bright, shining
necklace. I stepped out into
the hall and I thought, “I’m
normal!”
I went to visit the ladies
that I visit every day that I’m
able and said, “Look at me!
Look how good I look. I have
color in my cheeks, my eyes
have a sparkle and I look nor
mal. Just look at me!” We
had a good laugh and I went
up and down the hall and I
told everyone, “Look at me,
I’m looking good!” We
laughed and I kept going.
What a good day. It was
wonderful. This sounds crazy
but it was a wonderful, crazy
day for me. I hope for more
of these days when I can say,
“Look at me, I’m looking
good!”
