Davis announces run for Congress in
Georgia’s 14th Congressional District
Rome City Commissioner
Wendy Davis today an
nounced she has entered the
race for Congress in north
west Georgia’s 14th District
which includes western Pick
ens County.
“We need a true North
west Georgia voice for our
communities,” said Davis.
“I’ll focus on getting results
for our families, not chasing
national attention with em
barrassing, erratic conspiracy
theories.”
While a Rome City Com
missioner for the past eight
years, Wendy has cut red tape
to help businesses thrive and
made city services more effi
cient and responsive. She’s a
champion for sports as eco
nomic development and
quality of life advancements,
and was instrumental in
Angel Babies
Boutique
upcoming
sales for June
bringing professional base
ball to Rome.
Wendy’s years of service
reveal her to be a leader who
is never afraid to ask tough
questions, and she is a deter
mined advocate for neighbor
hoods and innovative ideas.
Always committed to trans
parency, Wendy listens to cit
izens’ concerns and
genuinely seeks active partic
ipation from all comers of the
city.
“What matters most to me
is making the lives of North
west Georgians better,”
Davis continued. “It doesn’t
matter where an idea comes
from - if it’s good for our
families, our kids and our
communities, I’ll work with
anyone to make it a reality.”
Commissioner Davis
added: “We don’t need more
obstruction and extremism
out of Washington - it’s time
to get things done again.”
"The person who we send
to Washington to represent us
should truly represent us,"
Davis continued. "Instead,
we have someone who only
looks out for herself. She can
be a social media star and
Wendy Davis
cable news darling on her
own time. She can push con
spiracy theories and out
landish lies on her own
dime.”
"We deserve a representa
tive who will get things done
for Northwest Georgia —a
representative for US.. That's
who I've always been, and
that's who I'll continue to be
in Washington."
Wendy knows our com
munities, our way of life and
the values that make our part
of Georgia special.
