Competition
cheer 9th
at state
The competition cheer team traveled to Macon for
their first experience of state competition. They were
cheered by some students and staff as they left on a
chartered coach for the overnight trip.
Sixteen teams from AAAA competed in Macon for
the state title. The Nettes had a pretty clean routine and
scored well enough to finish in the top 10 for the season
with a final position of 9th overall.
This group improved all season and overcame the
typical bumps and bruises that go along with competi
tion cheer. We are so very proud of them.

Local soccer team finishes perfect 9-0
Our local UFA U14 girls soccer team had another fantastic
season. A perfect 9-0 record versus other UFA teams from
Forsyth and Gwinnett regions. The U14 “Krush” certainly
crushed their competition all season long.
The highlight of the season was a 1-0 win over an unde
feated team called “Reign” out of Forsyth County. Both the
Krush and Reign were undefeated when they faced us and
Reign had yet to allow a goal. Our ladies scored first and
held on for a solid win over a top notch opponent.
Much of the rest of the season was simple domination with
Krush scoring 60 overall goals and only allowing five. That
means Krush averaged over six goals a game. Congratula
tions on a great season.
Krush team members: Skylar Lathem, Heidi Thompson,
Ruby Flatt, Emma Gable, Mollie Thomas, Bree Jewell,
Hayden Padgett, Kelsey Blankenship, Teagan Deering,
Quincy Flatt, Piper Johnson, Toccoa McGraw, Reese
Davis. Coaches Brandon Thomas and Sam Thompson.
