Last Farmers Market
of the year this Saturday
Surprise! A gentle, beauti
ful day for the Jasper
Farmer’s Market. Several
vendors were available and
happy for the warmer tem
peratures. This weekend is
the last market day for this
year. Please be sure to come
out for some gift shopping.
The craft vendors offer hand
made and unique items. The
knitters, crocheters, and quil-
ters offer warm wearables to
keep away the chill in style.
The sewers have a variety of
items for people of all ages.
The bread bakers will satisfy
your taste buds. Several ven
dors offer their specialties
with just a phone call, like
Vivian of Fancy Fruit Sor
bets. If you need a large
quantity for a party give her
a call.
The Jasper Farmer’s Mar
ket is sponsored by the Pick
ens County Master Garden
ers. You can find the market
at the Park N Ride parking
lot across from the Pickens
Veterans Memorial.

1,300 motorcycles bring the cheer at 41st Toy Run
Submitted by Jasper Lions
On Sunday Dec. 5th the Jasper
Lions Club hosted the 41 st An
nual North Georgia Toy Run
sponsored by Custom Riders MC
Greg Hartman T/F Cycles Steel-
horse Law for lunch at the Pick
ens Chamber Building.
The ride was in memory of
Jana Godfrey. About 1,300 mo
torcycles participated in the ride
with the riders bringing toys for
the Jasper Lions Club Fill A
Stocking project. Every year
they bring such a generous supply
of new toys, it warms our hearts.
We cannot thank you enough.
We also want to thank the
Pickens County 4-H Club mem
bers who helped us organize and
pack up the toys. You were so ap
preciated and made our job of
gathering up and moving the toys
so much easier. We want to thank
the Pickens County Sheriff and
law enforcement personnel for
escorting the motorcycles.
