Huddlestun named Lion of the Year

On June 23, the Jasper
Lions Club awarded the
"Lion of the Year" award to
Joy Huddlestun. She has
tndy exemplified the Lions
motto of "We Serve" this past
year. Joy has been picking up
our meals from various take
out places for several
months. She has served as
secretary for several years,
which requires a lot of record
keeping. Joy has loaned her
beautiful voice and musical
talents to us many times. Her
dedication to the Pickens
Senior Center bingo program
has kept that going. Joy has
provided much entertainment
and education with the games
and contest she has put to
gether for our meetings. We
do tmly appreciate you. This
award is well deserved. Con
gratulations Lion of the Year

Crowe receives degree from Georgia Tech

Dean's, President's Lists named at Alabama
A total of 11,224 students enrolled during Spring Semester 2022 at The University of Al
abama were named to the dean's list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the presi
dent's list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's).
The UA dean's and president's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists
do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course
load.

Emma DiPuma initiated into Omicron Delta Kappa
Emma DiPuma, a native of Jasper, was recently initiated into the University of Georgia
Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society. The Society wel
comed 320 new initiates from 15 universities during May 2022.
Students initiated into the Society must be sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate/pro
fessional students in the top 35% of their class, demonstrate leadership experience in at least
one of the five pillars, and embrace the ODK ideals. Fewer than five percent of students on
a campus are invited to join each year.

Stuffed Buffalo Chicken
4 boneless chicken breasts
4 oz cream cheese at room temp
Vz C Cheddar cheese
1 packet ranch seasoning
1/2 C buffalo sauce
1T fresh parsley
Ranch / blue cheese
Preheat oven to 375. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with
non-stick spray.
Cut a pocket into the side of each breast.
Add cream cheese, Cheddar, and ranch seasoning to a
small bowl and stir well to combine.
Spoon mixture into chicken.
Place chicken in baking dish and brush heavily with
the buffalo sauce.
Bake for 25-35 minutes, brushing with additional
sauce every ten minutes, until chicken reaches 165
degrees.
Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and drizzle
with ranch or blue cheese dressing before serving.
