Tater Patch auditions December 26th for next production
Auditions will be held for
two roles in Love Letters, by
A. R. Gurney. This short
play, with a cast of only one
adult man and one adult
woman, will be performed
the weekends before and
after Valentine’s Day.
This is a show for adult
audiences to enjoy the
laughs and the tears of a life
long love as told through the
letters of Andy and Melissa.
The auditions are to be held
December 26 at 6 PM till 7
PM at the theater at 95
Philadelphia Lane. The play
does not require memoriza
tion, as the characters read
from their letters to each
other.
However, the show does
require that the cast mem
bers be able to show a wide
range of emotions with a
minimum of movement. If
this audition date is not con
venient to anyone wanting to
audition, please contact the
director via email before De
cember 25.
Send any audition re
quests to taterpatchplay-
ers@gmail.com, put Love
Letters in the subject line
and leave a contact phone
number and the director, Nan
Nawrocki will get in touch to
make audition arrangements.
Rehearsal schedule will be
determined with the selected
actors.
Tater Patch Players is
very thankful for all their
volunteers and hope that
members of the community
will come out and support us
in the year ahead. A formal
announcement of the rest of
the season will be out soon.
But we can tell you there are
four wonderful shows com
ing your way. There’s a very
popular play about a group
of women at a hair salon, a
comedy about an escape es
capade from a nursing home,
a return to the “Reel ‘Em
Inn” fishing lodge to meet
some new wacky visitors,
and an amazing warm and
humorous show around next
Thanksgiving. The Home
School Theater classes are
about to begin again. Enroll
ment information is at
www.taterpatchplayers.org
and on Facebook at Tater
Patch Players page. There
are two classes, beginning in
January, one for 7 to 11-year-
old home schoolers and one
for ages 12-18. The troupe
is also planning summer ac
tivities for all kids and some
classes for adults. And of
course, we will resume our
regular Monday-at-Ten A.M
volunteer days in January. If
you want more info, send an
email and put volunteer in
the subject line.
And finally, we would
like to remind everyone that
Tater Patch Players is a 501
(c) 3 organization and would
be deeply grateful if you
would consider us in your
year-end giving. Just go to
the website, scroll down, and
click on the donate button
and you will be guided to on
line donations.
