REPUBLICAN PARTY to Hold
Caucus and County Convention
On Saturday, March 11th, 2023,
at 9:00 AM, the Pickens County
Republican Party will convene
Precinct Caucuses to elect Del
egates and Alternate Delegates
to the Pickens County Republi
can Party Convention. The
County Convention will convene
at 10:00AM on March 11th,
2023, at the same location for
the purpose of electing county
party officers and Delegates and
Alternates to the Congressional
District Convention and the
State Convention. Additionally,
the Convention will conduct all
other business as necessary.
Both the Precinct Caucuses and
County Convention will be held
at Cool Springs Baptist Church
(4671 Hwy 53, Tate, Georgia.
The County Convention will con
vene at 10:00 AM.
All Pickens County residents
who are legally registered to
vote and believe in the princi
ples of the Republican Party are
urged to participate in this
process. Delegates and Alter
nates will be required to pay a
fee of $15.00, which is to cover
the cost of the County Conven
tion.
The 11th Congressional District
Convention will convene at
9:00AM on Saturday, April 11th,
2023, at The Bluffs located at
1130 Bluffs Pkwy, in Canton,
Georgia. The District Conven
tion will be electing officers for
the district and State Committee
members for the next biennial.
Delegates and Alternates will be
required to pay a fee of $30.00
for early registration or $40.00
on the day of, which is to cover
the cost of the Convention.
The Georgia Republican Party
State Convention will convene
at 2:00PM on Friday, June 9,
2023, in Columbus, GA. and will
elect state party officers for the

CITY OF JASPER, GEORGIA
Sealed proposals will be re
ceived by the City of Jasper,
Georgia at the Jasper City Hall,
200 Burnt Mountain Road,
Jasper, Georgia 30143 until
2:00 p.m. local time, Wednes
day, March 22, 2023, at which
time and place they will be pub
licly opened and read. No sub
mitted bid may be withdrawn
after the scheduled closing time
for receipt of bids for a period of
sixty (60) days.
All Bidders must have a State of
Georgia Well Drillers License
and be a member of the Geor
gia Water Well Drillers Associa
tion.
The work to be done consists of
furnishing all materials, equip
ment and labor for the construc
tion of:
Three 6-inch test wells, one 8-
inch production well, 72-hour
aquifer test and abandonment
as needed.
Time allotted for construction is
90 consecutive calendar days
for substantial completion and
120 days for final completion.
Proposals for the complete work
in one general contract shall be
made on the proposal form pro
vided and shall contain prices in
words and figures for the work
bid on.
The City reserves the right to
award the contract with one, two
or three test wells. If more than
one test well is awarded, the
City reserves the right to delete
from the contract by change
order any test well once a test
well is determined sufficient for
production well development.
All proposals shall be accompa
nied by a Bid Bond drawn in
favor of the City of Jasper,
Georgia, in the amount of at
least 10% of the lump sum bid
for the complete work; such Bid
Bond representing that the Bid
der, if awarded the contract, will
promptly enter into a contract
and furnish Performance Bond
and Payment Bond as provided
by law and approved by the At
torney for the City of Jasper,
Georgia. Each bond shall be
equal to 100% of the contract
amount. The Bid Bond shall be
forfeited to the City of Jasper,
Georgia as liquidated damages
if the Bidder fails to execute the
contract and provide Perform
ance and Payment Bonds within
10 days after being notified that
he has been awarded the con
tract.
Bidding documents are open to
public inspection at the office of
the City of Jasper, Georgia and
at the offices of Turnipseed En
gineers in Augusta and Atlanta,
Georgia. Copies of the specifi
cations may be obtained from
Turnipseed Engineers, 2255
Cumberland Parkway, Building
400, Atlanta, Georgia 30339,
upon receipt of $75.00.
Digital copies of the documents
are not available.
