Spring spruce up on Main
photo/Dan Pool
With sunny weather here, the crew from Hemlocks Landscaping spruces up the planting
beds along Main Street last week. The ones here, in front of the courthouse, had contained
oak trees which died. The oak roots had also split the planters.
Through a contract with the downtown development authority, the beds are being filled
with annual flowering plants that should really provide great color throughout the summer
months, said Hemlocks owner Jason Satterfield, in red shirt above. The plants will be ro
tated out with the season.
