Stephen Clark, living near Con
tin wa* attacted with hydroph¬
obia this week, and became so

convulsions while engaged in
family prayers, and before the
neighbors arrived was raving
(ike ft madman, tearing and ea¬
ting his own flash until he pre¬
sented a hideous appearence.
When be became rational he sta¬
ted that lie was bitten by a mad
dog while traveling with a eir

and imitation ot heavy panting

men, he got loose and cut his
face badly in attempting to

his hand and chewed it, being
