On Dec. 30, Dep. Ashley Johnson was contacted by Family Medical Center about a dog bite. Stephen Brehaut was taking care of a dog that belonged to his late sister and the dog bit him. Animal control was notified. On Dec. 30, Dep. Bossie Davis was contacted twice by emergency room personnel at Upson Regional Medical Center regarding a 92-year-old male patient who was being released to return to his McCollum Road home but no one was there. Multiple attempts were made to get someone to the home but no one would comply. The ER personnel felt the man may be being abandoned. The man was a fall risk so someone needed to be in the home with him. A niece was contacted and volunteered to let them in the house but she would not stay because the man was COVID positive. The hospital eventually agreed to keep the man for the night and look for alternatives at area nursing homes. On Dec. 30, Dep.
