Mary Baldwin
Mary Lee Lindsey Baldwin 76, 358 Roberts Road
transitioned on Sunday, January 24, 2021 in the
Brightmoor Hospice. Graveside services were held on
Saturday, January 30 in the Antioch Baptist Church
Cemetery. Pastor Keith Battle officiated. Visitation
was held on Friday, January 29 from 5-8 pm.
Mary leaves a legacy that will live on in the hearts
of her children, Ms. LeAnne Langston of Barnesville,
Mr. Kelvin Langston (Maxine), Ms. Jakendra Lindsey
of Jonesboro, Ms. Patsi Baldwin-Jackson of College
Park, Mr. Fletcher Baldwin Jr.; grandchildren, Tien-
dria Langston, Kamauri Carr, Kameron Carr and Kali
Wilkes; sisters, Ms. Gracie Holder, Mrs. Janie (Joseph)
Paschal, Ms. Jewell Searcy and Ms. Angela Lindsey;
brother, Mr. Clarence (Sylvia) Lindsey; nieces, neph
ews, cousins and many dear friends who all will miss
her presence.

Sandra Bryan
Mrs. Sandra Diane Fuller Bryan, age 71 of Milner,
Georgia passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at
Upson Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Bryan was born in Barnes
ville, Georgia on May 19, 1949. Her
parents, Lawrence Brown Fuller,
Sr. and Esther Behre (Mutt) Fuller,
brothers, Larry Fuller and Lawrence
B. (Joe) Fuller, Jr. all preceded her in
death. She had worked at the Griffin
Country Club for over 20 years, and
retired from the Barnesville Housing
Authority. Mrs. Bryan was a lifelong member of the
Church of Nazarene, Barnesville.
Survivors include, her husband, Harold Bryan;
daughters, Stacey Ard and Shannon Reeder; best
friend, Peggy Glenn; grandchildren, Brittney and
Morris Conner and their daughter, Emma, Bryan Ard
and his daughters, Kinsley Ann and Kennady, Anna
Reeder, and Morghan Reeder; numerous nieces, neph
ews, friends and other family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 27,
2021 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Conner-West-
bury Funeral Home. A funeral service was held on
Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Barnes
ville Nazarene Church. Reverend Kevin Thomas and
Reverend Lonnie Grant officiated. Interment was held
in the Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Bryan lay-in-state
from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Randolph Clark
Mr. Randolph (Randy) Alton Clark, age 66, of
Milner, passed away January 29, 2021. Randy was
born in Barnesville, son of the late James Alton Clark
and Martha Estelle Tidwell Clark.
Randy graduated from Pike County
High School in 1973. He worked at
Bridgestone (Bandag) in Griffin for
30 years. He was a member of Open
Arms Baptist Church in Zebulon. He
loved the Lord and his family, and
especially enjoyed spending time
with his grandchildren. Randy lived
life smiling and loved talking and
laughing with everyone. He was an
avid Georgia Bulldog fan. Go Dawgs!
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in
death by his sister, Vanessa Clark and his father-in-
law, John T. Hamilton.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years: Sandra
H. Clark; children and their spouses: Jennifer and
Bruce Zeager of Barnesville, Craig and Tanya Clark
of Zebulon, and Nick and Stephanie Clark of Zebulon;
grandchildren: Autumn Clark, Ty Clark, Callista Clark,
Landon Clark, Alayna Clark, McKinleah Zeager and
Joseph Zeager; brothers and sisters-in-law: Mike and
Marcia Clark of Jackson and Mark and Marcia Clark of
Zebulon; mother-in-law: Jean Hamilton of Barnesville;
brother-in-law and sister-in-law: David and Bobbie
Hamilton of Griffin; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends visited the family on Sunday, January 31,
4-6 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services were
held on Monday, February 1, at 2 p.m., in the chapel
of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Ison
officiating.
Burial followed in Moody Memorial Gardens.
Moody-Daniel Funeral Home is assisting the family
with arrangements.
Peggy Marable
Mrs. Peggy Juanita Sealock Marable, age 80 of
Barnesville, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021
at Riverside Nursing Home, Thomaston, Georgia.
Peggy was born on Thursday,
March 28, 1940 to the late James
Howard Sealock and the late Mary
Elizabeth Smith Sealock. In addition
to her parents, she is also preceded
in death by her son, Jeff Marable;
sisters, Patricia Wilson, Brenda
Sealock; brother, Wayne Sealock.
Peggy was a homemaker who en
joyed watching television and loved
music. She was a member of Pine
View Baptist Church.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 63 years,
Rainey Marable; daughter and son-in-law, Missy and
Tim Parker; grandchildren, Blane Parker, Scott Park
er; sister, Theora Reynolds; brother, Larry Sealock
and wife, Wanda; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mrs. Peggy Marable was held
at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2021 in Breed
love Memorial Chapel with Pastor Garth Forster
officiating. Interment followed in Lamar Memory Gar
dens. Friends visited the family at the funeral home
one hour prior to the service.

Tommy Joe Morgan, age 80, was born May 7, 1940
in Milner, Georgia and passed away on January 9,
2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlan
ta, Georgia after a brief illness.
He proudly served his country in
the United States Army from 1959 to
1965.
A memorial service was held at
Milner Baptist Church on Saturday,
January 16, 2021 at 12:00 noon, offici
ated by Pastor Brad Ellington
Mr. Morgan was predeceased by
his parents, Reverend Eddie and
Belle Morgan of Milner, Georgia, his brother, Gene
(Dottie) Morgan, his sister, Martha (J.T.) Becker, and
his late wife, Evelyn Johnston Morgan. Mr. Morgan
is survived by his and Evelyn’s children, Richard
Morgan, Greg Morgan, and Kelly (Rusty) Morgan An
derson, and grandson, Griffin Anderson. Mr. Morgan
is also survived by his wife, Vicki Dickens-Morgan
and step-children Dana (Bryan) Schmidt, Dan (Wren)
Dickens, and grandchildren Walker and Eleanor Dick
ens.
Mr. Morgan and his wife Vicki returned to his
hometown of Milner after being away since 1959 and
rekindled many friendships. Mr. Morgan was an ac
tive member of Milner Baptist Church and truly loved
his Lord and his church family. He and Vicki enjoyed
traveling, camping, fishing and riding the roads of
Milner in their golf cart. He loved visiting with old
friends and making new friends everywhere he went.
Mr. Morgan was a wonderful husband, loving father,
stepfather and friend. He shared a special bond with
his grandson Griffin and was a fun grandfather to
Walker and Eleanor. Mr. Morgan will be missed by his
family, friends and furry companion Max. He and Max
shared food, sweet tea, car rides, John Deere rides
and long naps together. Whether it was just lending
an ear, sharing a joke, or quietly helping someone in
need, he was passionate in his love for others.
In memory of Tommy, he would love that you help
someone in need in your community.
Wanda Smith
Mrs. Wanda Denice Smith, age 54 of Barnesville,
passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at her
residence.
Wanda was born on Wednesday, June 8, 1966 to
the late William Hulett “Tony” Smith, Jr., and the late
Frances Evelyn Guy Smith. In addition to her par
ents, she is also preceded in death by her brothers,
Bobby Smith, Jimmy Smith; sisters, Tracy Cato, Cindy
Pruitt. Wanda enjoyed going to the beach, the Crystal
Springs Pool in Thomaston and loved spending time
with her grandchildren. She attended Mt. Zion Baptist
Church and Barnesville First Assembly of God.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Michael Smith;
son, Joshua Smith (Ashley); daughter, Ashley Smith
(Antonio Cauthen); step-son, Michael Smith, Jr.;
twelve grandchildren, one great-grandchild; sister,
Diane Martin; brothers; Mark Smith (Renee), Tommy
Smith (Angie), Tommy Ray Kennedy, Bill Smith
(Dave), Keith Kennedy, Jonathan Smith (Courtney);
mother-in-law, Melinda Smith; sister-in-law, Rhonda
Merritt (Mitchell); brother-in-law, Robert Smith
(Vickie); several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mrs. Wanda Smith was held
at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 in Breedlove
Memorial Chapel with Alex Johnson officiating. In
terment followed in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cem
etery. Friends visited the family at the funeral home
Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations
to the funeral home to assist with expenses. Dona

Charles Sweat, Sr.
Charles Everett Sweat, Sr., born December 13, 1933
in Wrightsville, GA to the late Thomas Simms Sweat
and Cloris E Sweat. In addition to his
parents, he is preceded in death by
his son, Ward Sweat; brothers, Joe
Sweat and Tony Sweat. The family
remained in the Wrightsville area
for several years before moving to
the Barnesville/Milner area where
Charley attended high school before
entering the service and becoming a
morse code operator. After leaving
the military he used the G.I. Bill to
enroll at Michigan State where he played basketball
for one year before returning to Georgia in the Atlanta
area. He met Bobby Jean Beasley and they had their
first date on December 13, 1959 and were married
March 6, 1960. Bobby and Charley had three children,
Katie Elizabeth, Charles Everett Jr. and Austin Ward.
They lived in and around the area before settling in
the Conley area on south side. During this time Char
ley had taken up his fathers’ occupation as a butcher.
He worked for Colonial Food Stores and several other
independent stores while starting up a sales booth in
the Municipal Market downtown next to Grady Hospi
tal where he met and began cutting the meat for the
Hispanic restaurant owners while also developing a
taco mix that is still sold to them today by Charley &
Sons Inc. The company started very small moving to
a renovated 7/11 and after several years built a build
ing in Lake City - which was added onto several times
before buying the current home of Charley and Sons
which is 170,000 square feet. Among the noted ac
complishments is the National Brand Gordo’s Cheese
Dip, number 1 in cheese dip in the US.
Charley is survived by his wife, Bobby Jean Sweat;
daughter, Katy E. Crane and son-in-law Bill Crane;
son, Charles E. Sweat, Jr., and daughter-in-law Sa
mantha; daughter-in-law, Angie Sweat; grandchildren,
Michelle, Alex, Miranda, Sidney, Waverly and Scarlett;
great-grandchildren, Micah, Juniper, and Charley.
