Kenneth Kamone Foster, suspended li cense and failure to stop for stop sign; failed to appear, bench warrant issued. Jessica Louise Dod son, burglary and pos session of meth; failed to appear, bench warrant issued. Darrien Lamar Bowles, theft by taking, fleeing and attempting to elude, hit and run, obstruction and suspended license; failed to appear, bench warrant issued. Wesley Bradford Wood, aggravated assault on a peace officer; failed to appear, bench warrant issued. Desjwa Quaashie Rambus, fleeing and at tempting to elude and no license; failed to appear, bench warrant issued. Justin Arron Red ding, trafficking in meth, obstruction, fleeing and attempting to elude and window tint violation; failed to appear, bench warrant issued. Otis Bernard Jackson, trafficking in marijuana and failure to maintain lane; failed to appear, bench warrant issued. Charles Steven Mann, possession of meth and theft by receiving sto len property; failed to appear, bench warrant issued. Ashley M. Tucker, theft by receiving stolen property: 12 months probation, $300 fine and 40 hours community service. Aaron C. Holloway, two counts disorderly conduct: 12 months probation, $500 restitu tion and no contact with victim. David Pierce, posses sion of meth, possession of marijuana and failure to maintain lane: 54 months in jail, credit for time served. Johnny D. Flournoy, two counts obstruction, theft by taking, terror istic threats and acts and criminal trespass: bond set at $1 million, banished from Towaliga circuit. Davis makes VSU Dean’s List More than 2,100 students were named to Valdosta State Universi ty’s Fall 2020 Dean’s List, including one student from Lamar County. Tay lor Davis of Barnesville earned the Dean’s List honor. Dean’s List honors are reserved for the highest achieving students at VSU. To qualify for Dean’s List at VSU, students must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher. PARAMEDICS 'AMBULAHCl THE HERALD GAZETTE/WALTER GEIGER Multiple injuries after serious Jackson Road crash A local child was airlifted to Egleston Children’s Hospital in Altanta after a serious collision on Jackson Road just outside Barnesville Feb. 3. Terry Brown, 50, of Hinesville was driving a Ram 2500 pickup northbound just before 6 p.m. when he crossed the center line and struck an embankment. The truck came to rest facing south in the southbound lane and was struck in the rear by a Toyota Camry driven by Patricia Harris, 67, of Barnesville. Brown was transported to Upson Regional. He was charged with DUI, suspended license, no seatbelt and failure to maintain lane. Harris was taken by ambulance to Spalding Regional and later transferred to Atlanta Medical Center with multiple injuries. Two nine-year-old children were in the Camry and were not restrained with seatbelts. Chloe Foster was in the front seat. She was flown to Egleston with facial and mouth injuries and a laceration to her liver. Ivan Williams was taken for treatment in a private vehicle, according to the Georgia State Patrol. Both children are recovering. THE HERALD GAZETTE/NOLAN GEORGE Forsyth woman airlifted after four-lane crash This was the scene Feb. 4 when two cars crashed at the intersection of Atlanta Street and Veterans Parkway. According to a state patrol report, Harlie M. Weathers, 22, of Forsyth was southbound on the four-lane in a Nissan Sentra when she attempted to turn onto Atlanta Street but failed to yield to northbound traffic. The Nissan was struck by a northbound Honda Accord driven by Lawrence J. Damiano, 49, of Barnesville. Weathers was airlifted to Atlanta Medical Center. Damiano was taken by ambulance to Spalding Regional. Elect Brutz ENGLISH CHIEF MAGISTRATE * Local Farmer, Small Business Owner, & Property Owner Man who allegedly drove through cemetery busted WALTER GEIGER news@barnesville.oom LCSO investigators have made an arrest in connection with dam age done to the Crawley Cemetery on Old Hwy. 41 at its intersection with Brown Springs Road. Originally, thought to be vandalism, the dam age was determined to be from a vehicle that ran through the cemetery. Vehicle parts were located and col lected for matching. Shortly after EVANS print and online coverage last week, mul tiple tips were received about a possible suspect. “We located the truck involved covered in tarps in the backyard of a home on Brown Springs Road in Milner and that led to the arrest,” sheriff Brad White said. On Feb. 5, Sgt. Jeremy Haire arrested 31-year- old Justin Leon Evans in connection with the case.
