LCSO INCIDENT REPORT SUMMARY
Compiled from a summary of incident reports
completed by Lamar deputies during the period Feb.
10-16, 2021.
On Feb. 10, Dep. William Holt was dispatched to
Frank’s Automotive regarding a tag missing from a
1998 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck.
On Feb. 10, Dep. Holt returned to Frank’s auto
motive regarding the theft of a U-Haul truck. Steven
Clark, 46, had rented a truck and never returned it.
The matter will be addressed in civil court.
On Feb. 11, Sgt. Wayman Henson was dispatched
to 172 Van Mar Blvd. regarding the theft of eight used
batteries. The batteries were valued at about $1000.
On Feb. 11, Sgt. Henson was southbound on Hwy.
36 East when he noticed the vehicle in front of him
had no headlights on in the rain and an expired tag
decal. A check revealed the owner of the vehicle, a
white 2008 Honda Accord, was wanted.
Henson activated his lights and siren but the driv
er refused to stop. Lt. Shane Moore deployed stop
sticks near the entrance to Cole Forest and flattened
three tires on the Honda but the driver kept going.
Lt. Moore then got in front of the Honda and forced
it to stop. The driver, 49-year-old Chris L. Tran,
was ordered from the vehicle at gunpoint but still
struggled with the deputies. He was charged with no
headlights, fleeing and attempting to elude, failure
to maintain lane, reckless driving, expired tag and
obstruction of an officer. The Honda was impounded.
On Feb. 11, Dep. Holt was dispatched to Wil
liams Road regarding a vehicle abandoned car in the
middle of the road. The car was towed.
On Feb. 12, Dep. Destiny Valenzuela was dis
patched to a home at 946 Silver Dollar Road where it
appeared someone had tried to kick in a back door.
Nothing was missing. No footprints or other evidence
could be found.
On Feb. 14, Lt. Michael Newman worked a child
custody issue at a home on Brent Road.
On Feb. 13, Lt. Newman was dispatched to Wash
ington Park Circle regarding a report of a child being
accosted by a dog. The dog was playful with Newman
and the child had no injuries.
SHERIFF'S REPORT
Between Friday, February 12 and Thursday, Febru
ary 18 the following were processed through the
Lamar County jail:
Tony Jerome Akins, 49, Barnesville, probation
violation;
Rebecca Nicole Bartley, 32, Barnesville, warrants
pending;
Joshua Paul Crowe, 28, Barnesville, two counts
obstructing officers, disorderly conduct and proba
tion violation;
Nolan Dean Hill, 26, Griffin, two counts DU1, reck
less driving, no insurance, failure to maintain lane,
failure to notify owner upon striking a fixed object
and failure to stop;
Isaiah Lamar Jackson, 18, Barnesville, possession
of methamphetamine;
Nathan Eugene Lovelady, 31, Milner, parole viola
tion;
Jontavious Miguel McFadden, 30, homeless, crimi
nal trespass;
Ardrana Celene Pate, 42, Barnesville, child support
lockup order;
Nathan Pete Reynolds, 30, Barnesville, two counts
theft by receiving stolen property, possession of
meth, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana
and possession and use of drug related objects;
Anthony Capone Rivera, 25, Markleville, IN, pur
chase, possession, manufacture, distribution or sale
of marijuana and possession of firearm or knife dur
ing commission of or attempt to commit felonies;
Kayla Marie Scarbary-Bartley, 32, Barnesville, war
rants pending;
Michael Todd Wright, 25, Macon, two counts DU1,
reckless driving and headlight violation.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies answered 147
calls. Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to
11 911 calls. Lamar County Fire Fighters responded
to 25 911 calls. Barnesville Fire Fighters responded to
one 911 calls. Community Ambulance Service re
sponded to 40 calls. There were five accidents. Lamar
County Sheriff’s Deputies served 11 state warrants.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies issued eight traffic
citations.

POLICE REPORT
Between Monday, February 15 and Monday, Febru
ary 22, the Barnesville Police Department made the
following arrests:
Thomas Lyons, 23, 907 Willow Wind Cir., Barnes
ville, driving while license suspended or revoked and
window tint violation;
Jontavious McFadden, 30, 119 Thurman St., Griffin,
criminal trespass;
Joshua Crowe, 28, 101 Spring Cir., Barnesville, dis
orderly conduct and obstruction.
There were 217 calls for service including: one
fight, three loud music, 11 domestics, 22 suspicious
persons/vehicles, one speeding, seven accidents, one
hit and run, 24 alarms and one unwanted person.
They issued 17 citations including: two expired
tags, one driving while license suspended or revoked,
three driving with suspended tags, seven speeding,
one striking a fixed object, one operating vehicle with
altered suspension, one window tint violation and
one criminal trespass.

DA drops charges
against BLM organizer
The Towaliga Circuit district attorney’s office has
dropped two misdemeanor charges against local
Black Lives Matter organizer Krystal Banks for lack of
prosecutorial merit.
Banks was arrested July 7, 2020 after an alterca
tion in Forsyth with the grandmother of her chil
dren, Juanita Travis. Some months later, Travis was
charged.
Banks had maintained her innocence throughout
the ordeal.
