LCSO INCIDENT REPORT SUMMARY
Compiled from a summary of incident reports
completed by Lamar deputies during the period Feb.
17-23, 2021.
On Feb. 16, Dep. Bossie Davis worked a domestic
altercation at a home at Lamar County Line Road. A
juvenile female was evaluated by EMS and taken into
custody. She was prepped for transport to YDC in
Macon. Jail personnel were familiar with the juvenile.
On Feb. 18, Dep. Ashley Johnson met with Tabitha
Long who reported she rented a U-Haul truck for
Kayla Scarberry and Rebecca Bartley. The truck was
supposed to be returned Feb. 12 but had been left
on the side of the road with no gas in it. The final bill
was $566.42 and Long planned to pursue the matter in
magistrate court.
On Feb. 10, Sgt. Keith Kendrick was working a
license checkpoint on Old Scout Road when a maroon
Mitsubishi Eclipse approached. The driver, 50-year-
old William F. Jones, admitted he had no license. A K-9
did a free air search around the car and alerted near
the driver’s door. A bag of meth was found under the
seat.
“I’ve had that since Joe Brewer went to jail. 1 got it
from him. 1 use meth but 1 haven’t in a while,” Jones
told Kendrick and Sgt. Michael Brayton. Jones went
to jail charged with possession of meth. The car was
turned over to Jones’ girlfriend.
On Feb. 19, Dep. Anthony Redding was dispatched
to Buggytown Auction where juveniles playing with a
softball had accidentally broken out a vehicle win
dow. The vehicle owner wanted a report for insurance
purposes and a possible appearance in magistrate
court.
On Feb. 20, Dep. Redding spoke with a woman
who said a woman was threatening her via social me
dia messaging. The victim was referred to magistrate
court.

vehicle towed from the side of Ga. Hwy. 7 near Milner
where it had been for nearly a month.
On Feb. 22, Dep. Davis was dispatched to a home
on Barnesville Avenue where a man and his girlfriend
were involved in a domestic dispute. The parties were
separated and the man packed his things and began
to move out while Davis was there.
On Feb. 23, Dep. Johnson met with a man who left
his .380 handgun on top of his girlfriend’s car. She
drove off and the pistol was lost. The man checked
most of Cannafax Road without finding the gun.
On Feb. 23, Lt. Michael Newman was dispatched to
a home on High Falls Park Road regarding a missing
air conditioning unit.
On Feb. 18, Dep. Barclay Banta was dispatched to
the Griffin Probation Center off MLK Bypass where a
receptionist reported a probationer exposed himself
in front of her and began to masturbate. Bradley J.
Doke, 27, went to jail charged with public indecency.
On Feb. 23, Dep. Destiny Valenzuela was dis
patched to a home at 1144 Piedmont Road where a
woman reported her daughter tried to leave for work
only to find all four or her tires flattened with damage
to the valve stems.
On Feb. 9, Dep. Valenzuela was dispatched to a
