The LC Lady Trojans soccer team, led by coach Wayne Calvert, is ranked #7 in the eurosports.com poll. The Lady Trojans
notched critical region wins over Monticello and Washington County last week, shutting out both teams.
They go to NE Macon tonight and travel to Cochran to battle #6 Bleckley County Friday night.

New CASA
volunteers sworn in
Towaliga CASA (Court
Appointed Special
Advocates) recently an
nounced that on March
3, 2021, three CASA
volunteers were sworn-in
for the circuit by Judge
Sullivan to serve children
in foster care. Feila Stone
is a Monroe County
resident, and Marcie
Seleb and Nicole Tillery
are both Lamar County
residents.
“CASA volunteers
have gone through
extensive training by
the local CASA agency
to ensure that they can
fulfill the requirement of
a CASA for the children
of this circuit. Volun
teers come from varying
backgrounds, but the
one thing they have in
common is their con
cern for children in the
foster care system,” said
Towaliga CASA volun
teer supervisor Georgia
Hooks.
