On March 10, Sgt. Wayman Henson was dispatched to a home on Old Hwy. 41 where a female juvenile had cut her wrist. The mother said the teenager had been unruly lately. The girl had been suspended from school for fighting another female. The injured female was taken to Spalding Regional. On March 10, Sgt. Henson was patrolling when he spotted a red Chevy S-10 pickup with mud and dirt obscuring the tag and tail lights. He stopped the truck on MLK Bypass near Gordon Road. The driver, 25-year-old Anthony C. Walker, did not have his license. A check revealed it was expired. A passenger in the truck, 32-year-old Quentin M. Foster, had active warrants here. Henson detected the odor of marijuana and, during a pat down, found a silver grinder in Foster’s pocket. Walker was on probation for narcotics and the truck was searched and more marijuana found along with 10 tramadol pills in an unmarked pill bottle. Walker went to jail charged with possession of marijuana, expired license, no license on person, tail light violation and drugs not in original container. Foster went to jail for the active warrant. The truck was turned over to Madison Horn. On March 10, Dep. William Holt met with a woman whose unemployment check stopped coming. While questioning the female passenger, 20-year-old Ashlyn M. Smith, Redding detected the odor of marijuana and Smith turned over three cigars with marijuana in them. Redding was about to search the vehicle when Mann warned him there was a used syringe in the driver’s door and that he had just shot up. Under the driver’s seat was a blue book bag containing a maga zine for a .40 cal. handgun. The search turned up a scale with meth residue on it, a large number of lottery tickets, more syringes in a handbag and more meth-loaded syringes in a black bag. Both Mann and Smith were cuffed and asked if they had more drugs on them. They refused to answer. At the jail, a dollar bill containing meth was found in Smith’s bra and three baggies of meth were found MAGISTRATE REPORT Between Friday, March 12 and Thursday, March 18 the Magsitrate Court issued: 27 criminal warrants nine dispossessory’s two dispossessory hearings three garnishments 10 civil suits two civil suit hearings 12 first appearance/bond hearings in her shoe.
