Diamond Trojans split
two games with Hurricanes
The LC Diamond
Trojans (5-14) split two
games with the Monticel-
lo Hurricanes last week
as the regular season
wound down toward the
last game April 23.
LC topped the‘Canes
5-2 Tuesday at Aldora
Field. The Trojans man
aged only four hits but
took advantage of three
Monticello errors. Tanner
Patterson got the win for
LC, going 5.1 innings and
striking out five. Conner
Vaughn got the save for
LC in relief.
Johnny Stone had a
hit for Lamar while Rhett
Blount, Bayle English and
Donavan Sanford each
drove in runs.
On Friday, the ‘Canes
edged the Trojans 6-4.
LC again had only four
hits and compounded
their problems by com
mitting three errors.
Vaughn and Caden De
witt worked the mound
for LC. Vaughn drove in
three runs to account
for most of the Trojans’
offensive output.

LCMS Trojans eye title

1,312 confirmed cases of

11 update from DPH.
That number is up from

navirus related hospital
izations.
