Deputy Brayton noticed large rectangular objects in the pockets of Rivers’ pants. Rivers stated that the objects were $8,000.00 cash. Rivers took the items from his pockets and the property was $10,000.00 cash which was packaged in banded bundles consis tent with that used in drug transactions. Initially, Rivers claimed that the money and its origins were “legitimate,” however, he subsequently disclaimed any knowledge of the money or its owner.
