Ronald Edward Brazas, Sr.
Mr. Ronald Edward Brazas, Sr., age 80, of Barnes-
ville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, April 17,
2021.
Ron was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on
Friday, June 14, 1940 to the late Frank Brazas and the
late Claire Valentino Brazas. He was also preceded in
death by his daughter, Susan. Ron grew up in Billeri
ca, Massachusetts and graduated Essex Aggie where
he began his love of dairy farming and cattle judging.
At 17, Ron entered the United States Army where he
served as a helicopter mechanic from 1957-1960.
After completing his military service, Ron moved
to middle Georgia where he began farming and made
his home for the next 55 years. Ron was a Christian
who would always describe himself as friend of the
Lord his savior. He raised a family and was a loved
father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many in
his more than 50 years in middle Georgia. In addi
tion, Ron was also a hotrodder, cowboy cattleman
and master tinkerer which he pursued right up to his
final days. Ron was intelligent and bold, never afraid
to share his opinion (whether requested or not). His
lively personality will truly be missed by those that
knew him well.
Ron is survived by his daughter and son-in-law,
Bonnie & Matthew Stoller; sons and daughters-in-
law, Tim & Millie Brazas and Ron Jr. & Nicole Brazas;
daughter, Hollie Brazas; grandchildren, Rob Bacon,
Erica Stoller, Adam Stoller, Monroe Clinton, Cena
Maeve Johnson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan &
Ginger Brazas and Ken & Donna Brazas.
A memorial service for Ron Brazas will be held at
11:00 a.m. on Saturday May 15, 2021 at Williams-West-
bury Funeral Home in Barnesville, GA.

Bessie Sue Starling Warren
Mrs. Bessie Sue Starling Warren, 82, of Barnesville,
GA, died Tuesday April 20, 2021, surrounded by her
loving family at Navicent Health, Macon Medical
Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Warren were held
on Saturday April 24, at 11:00 a.m., at Faith Baptist
Church in Thomaston, with Rev. Buddy Wall and Rev.
Tim South officiating. Burial will follow in Lamar
Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Warren was born March 3, 1939, in Thomas
ton, GA, to the late Robert Wilson Starling and Fannie
Dora Jarrell Starling. She was a 1958 graduate of R. E.
Lee Institute. At an early age, she joined with her par
ents at East Thomaston Baptist Church, where she
grew up playing the piano and singing with her sister
Henrietta Drinnen. In mid-life she moved her letter to
Faith Baptist Church where she faithfully served for
over fifty years as an accomplished pianist and organ
ist, playing for congregational services, weddings,
and funerals, and holding various positions such as
church secretary and treasurer. She was blessed
with two companions: the late Reginal “Leon” Jones,
and then the late Harvey Eugene Warren, Sr., whom
she referred to as “the love of her life.” With these
two, she raised nine children. They created a loving
home and cared for their children and kept many of
their grandchildren on a daily basis. Her family was
her passion and the center of her life. Her love ex
tended beyond her own family touching the lives of
all who were blessed to know her. She claimed many
extended family members as her own. Mrs. Warren
enjoyed family genealogy and counting cousins.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Warren was pre
ceded in death by her husband, Harvey E. Warren,
Sr.; her sister, Henrietta Drinnen; a daughter-in-law,
Brenda Turner Jones; a granddaughter, Stephanie
Lynn Jones; and a great grandson, Noah Andrew
Conkle. Survivors include seven sons: John W. Jones,
Sr. and Terry L. (Bonnie) Jones, both of Barnesville,
GA; Donald A. Jones and Austin B. Jones, both of
Thomaston; Michael E. (Pam) Jones, of Griffin, GA;
Harvey “Gene” (Becky) Warren, Jr. of Barnesville, GA.
and Ernest “Ernie” (Teera) Warren of Dahlonega, GA;
two daughters, A. Darlene Jones (Rev. Tim) South of
Molena, GA, and Rhonda S. Jones (David) O’Steen of
Barnesville, GA; 27 grandchildren: John W. Jones, Jr.
of Barnesville, GA; C. Chase (Heather) Jones of Griffin,
Ga.; J. Ethan (Kaila) Jones of Thomaston, GA; Stephen
“Steve” (Melanie) Jones, Billy J. (Joyce) McKinley
Jackie McKinley (Brandon) Hall, Michelle McKinley
(Jason) Johnson, all of Barnesville, GA; Amber Jones
(John) Womack of Thomaston, GA; Kimberly “Kim”
South (Mike) Hawley of Littleton, CO; Kelly South
(Nick) Montgomery and Kristy South (Kyle) Legg,
both of Thomaston, GA; William D. (Robin) O’Steen of
Griffin, GA; Samuel R. “Sammy” (Lindsey) O’Steen of

Arabelle, Alyssa, Simon, Sierra, Dakota, Cheyenne,
Levi, Kayden, Khloe, Braelyn, Amelia, Bryliee, Ali,
Leigha, Shelby Kayleigh, and Samantha; 14 great-
great grandchildren: Ella, Annistyn, Amberly, Harper,
Blair, Emma, Colby Jaxson, Sophie, Madison, Blakely
Kyleigh, Alex, and Willa. She is also survived by two
daughters-in-law: Karen Salter and Robbie Jones; a
sister-in-law, Patricia Jones Cleveland, and nieces
(Henrietta’s daughters) Brenda (Mike) Sorenson and
Sherry (Danny) Stowe, along with many other rela
tives and friends.

Mr. Danny Nathaniel Landers, age 73, of 114 Ingram
Road, Barnesville, Georgia, passed away on Friday
April 23, 2021 at WellStar North Fulton Hospital.
Danny was born on Tuesday July 29, 1947 in Zebu-
Ion, Georgia to the late Paul Frank Landers and the
late Ellis Smith Landers. He was preceded in death by
a brother, Wayne Landers; and a son-in-law, Timothy
Skelton. Danny was a proud Veteran of the United
States Army having served in the Vietnam War. He
retired from the City of Barnesville with over 30 years
of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in
his yard.
Danny is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karen
Gordy Landers, children, Travis Landers, Lesia Skel
ton, Tammy & Clayton Driskell; grandchildren, Brit
tany Connell, Kimberly Skelton, Brian Skelton, Megan
Martin, and Haley Driskell; six great-grandchildren;
one great-great-granddaughter; brother, Larry Land
ers; sisters and brother-in-law, Ann & Charles Skelton,
Patsy Storey Debra Bunn, and Wanda Bunn; several
nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside funeral services for Mr. Danny Landers
will held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at
the Landers Family Cemetery. Friends may visit the
family on Tuesday from 2:00P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at
the Landers home, 114 Ingram Road, Barnesville,
