goal as did Cara Bishop,
Alaina Cato and Samiya
Smith. Cato, Smith and
Kaylah Grammer had
assists.
The Lady Trojans host
#8 Thomasville (13-3)
Wednesday in the Sweet
16 round. First

Vidalia Indians
in round one
of the Class AA
state playoffs.
Lamar (12-
4-1) will host
Fitzgerald
(11-6) in the Sweet 16
round here Thursday.
First touch is set for 6:30
p.m. at the LC soccer
complex. Neither team
is ranked. LC is the top
seed from Region 3-AA.
Fitzgerald is the #2 seed
form Region 1-AA. They
topped Oglethorpe
County 3-1 in round one.

Diamond Trojans win two of three games
The LC Diamond
Trojans won two of three
games last week to close
out their season with a
7-17 record.
On Tuesday, LC faced
NE Macon at Aldora
Field, blew the game
open with six runs in the
third inning and cruised
to an 11-1 win. Connor
Vaughn went the distance
on the mound for Lamar,
striking out 10 and scat
tering six hits.
Vaughn also had two
of LC’s three hits as the
Trojans took advantage
of eight errors by the
visitors. Ayden Hollis and
Kale Bryan drove in runs
for the Trojans.
On Wednesday, LC
traveled to Crawford
County and lost 15-9 to
the Eagles in a slugfest
which saw each team get
11 hits. Lamar had five
errors in the field.
Talon Dender paced
LC with three hits and
two RBls. Johnny Stone
added two hits for LC.
On Friday, LC topped
NE Macon on the road
15-0. Tanner Patterson
got the win, striking out
11 and allowing only five
hits.
Rhett Blount led the
LC attack with three hits
while driving in three
runs. Nathaniel Tidwell
also had three hits for La
mar while Hutson Traylor
and Donavan Sanford had
two RBls each.
