Conduct giving such
rise to said seizure was as
follows: On March 25, 2021,
Deputy Mike Brayton of
the Lamar County Sheriff’s
Office conducted a traffic
stop on Interstate 75 in
Lamar County, Georgia, on
a vehicle in which Jacorey
Oneal Rivers was a pas
senger. While speaking
with the occupants, Deputy
Brayton could smell the
odor of marijuana coming
from within the vehicle. The
driver of the vehicle, Johnny
Harrington, gave consent
to search the vehicle. Both
Harrington and Rivers gave
conflicting statements
about their travel plans
and both men were act
ing in a nervous manner.
Deputy Brayton noticed
large rectangular objects
in the pockets of Rivers’
pants. Rivers stated that
the objects were $8,000.00
cash. Rivers took the items
from his pockets and the
property was $10,000.00
cash which was packaged
in banded bundles consis
tent with that used in drug
transactions. Initially, Rivers
claimed that the money and
its origins were “legitimate,”
however, he subsequently
disclaimed any knowledge
of the money or its owner.
The property was ultimately
seized by Deputy Brayton
in Lamar County on March
25, 2021.
Claimants who may have

in violation of O.C.G.A. §
9-16-1 et. seq., and 16-13-49

PERSONAL PROPERTY
Pursuant to O.C.G.A. §
9-16-1 et. seq., any party
claiming an interest in the
following property is hereby
notified that the following
property was seized by
the undersigned agency in
Lamar County, Georgia: ONE

SIXTY DOLLARS ($1,160.00)

Conduct giving such
rise to said seizure was as
follows: On April 15, 2021,
Sgt. Mike Brayton of the
Lamar County Sheriff’s
Office conducted a traffic
stop on Interstate 75 in
Lamar County, Georgia, due
to a vehicle traveling too
closely behind a commer
cial vehicle. Khari Harris
was the driver of the vehicle
and the front seat passenger
was Victavius M. Holland.
When speaking with the
passenger, Sgt. Brayton
noticed loose marijuana
on Mr. Holland’s pants and
shirt. It also appeared that
Mr. Holland had attempted
to ingest marijuana because
suspected marijuana was in
the corner of his mouth. Sgt.
Brayton could also smell the
odor of marijuana coming
from inside of the vehicle.
The men were asked to
exit the vehicle and it ap
peared that Mr. Harris had a
firearm in his waistband. Mr.
Harris admitted that there
was marijuana in the ve
hicle. The vehicle was then
searched. A book bag was
found and inside of it was
two large clear boxes which
contained sixteen bags of
suspected marijuana. The
amount of suspected mari
juana exceeded 4 ounces.
The bag also contained a set
of digital scales and a box
of plastic baggies. Both of
these items are commonly
used in the packaging of
marijuana for sale. A brief
case was also found that
contained $1,160.00 in cash
and five tablets of suspect
ed MDMA. The cash was
ultimately seized by Sgt.
Brayton in Lamar County
on April 15, 2021. The men
were charged with felony
possession of marijuana and
possession of a controlled
substance.
Claimants who may have

erty are KHARI HARRIS and
VICTAVIUS M. HOLLAND.
Said property was used

however, he gave the depu
ties consent to search his
vehicle. Deputy Brandon
Goins conducted the search
of the vehicle and noticed
suspected marijuana debris
under the rear seat behind
the driver’s seat. Addition
ally, Deputy Mike Brayton
could smell the odor of
marijuana from inside of the
vehicle. In a suitcase in the
backseat of the vehicle was
found $33,000.00 cash which
was packaged in banded
bundles consistent with that
used in drug transactions.
Mr. Nguyen gave several
conflicting statements about
the origins of the money.
The currency was ultimately
seized by Deputy Goins in
Lamar County on March 4,
2021.
Claimants who may have

are PHUONG DINH NGUYEN.
Said property was used in
violation of O.C.G.A. § 9-16-1
