6A ®1)£ litralti <©a?£tt£ Tuesday, May 11,2021 LCSO INCIDENT REPORT SUMMARY Compiled from a summary of incident reports completed by Lamar deputies during the period April 28-May4, 2021. On April 28, Dep. Justyn Weaver was monitor ing traffic on Morgan Dairy Road when he clocked a vehicle running 67 m.p.h. in a 45 m.p.h. zone. Upon approach, he detected the odor of marijuana and called for backup. The driver, 57-year-old Ronald S. Carnes, had glossy, bloodshot eyes and admitted he had smoked marijuana with his cousins after a round of golf. Carnes refused to give a blood sample but did turn over a small piece of marijuana. More marijuana shake was found in the vehicle. Carnes was arrested and the vehicle impounded. Warrants were obtained and a blood sample was taken. Carnes was charged with a super speeder violation, DU1 (refusal), DU1 (marijuana) and DU1 (drugs less safe). On April 28, Dep. Anthony Redding assisted Sgt. Wayman Henson with a traffic stop and tasked with transporting Edmond J. Harris, 37, to jail. Harris twice proclaimed he had no contraband on his person. In the jail, a strip search was conducted and Harris quickly flushed a bag of marijuana he had hidden in his crotch. “Man, it was just a little sack of weed,” Harris told Redding. Harris was charged with possession of marijuana, tampering with evidence, crossing guard lines with drugs, driving without a license and expired registra tion. On April 29, Dep. Weaver was dispatched on an attempted suicide call at a home on Oak Haven Lane. On April 30, Sgt. Henson met with a Ramah Church Road man about a possible identity theft at tempt. On April 30, Dep. Redding was dispatched to a traffic accident at the intersection of Hwy. 18 West and Hwy. 109. Other deputies on the scene reported the driver of the vehicle, Anne R. Brantley, 62, was under the influence of alcohol. Redding noticed the odor of alcohol on Brantley who was unsteady on her feet and had glassy eyes. Brantley could not com plete roadside testing and blew a .207 on a roadside intoximeter device. Brantley admitted she had three or four glasses of wine. Her jewelry was turned over to her daughter and she went to jail charged with DU1, failure to main tain lane and reckless driving. On May 2, Dep. William Holt was dispatched to 111 Moore St. where Lewis Brownlee reported his stepson, 23-year-old Elijah J. Jones, had disappeared with his handgun. Jones was located at a home at 112 Richardson Street and the gun was found in a shed behind the house. Jones said he didn’t steal the gun, he just took it to play around with it. Jones is on pro bation and was turned over to his probation officer with a theft by taking charge pending. On May 3, Dep. Weaver was monitoring traffic when his equipment detected a 2015 Chevy Sonic was owned by a man with a his license suspended due to DUE The driver was, indeed, the owner, 57-year-old Robert H. Wynn. He went to jail charged with suspended license. On May 4, Dep. Ashley Johnson met with a woman who felt she was being harassed by her landlord for having two emotional support animals. One is a cat and one a squirrel. She alleged the landlord entered her home without notice and messed with her chil dren’s belongings. Chaffin, 56, Zebulon, serving jail time, contempt of court; Dylan Cryer, 25, Macon, housed for Crawford County; Markaisha Shalay Davis, 21 Brunswick, serving jail time on weekends; Corterrius Tayvion Fuller, 28, Griffin, driving while license suspended or revoked; Brandon Treamine Furlow, 31, Barnesville, posses sion, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession and use of related drug objects; Edward Leon Greene, 31, Thomaston, wanted for Taylor County; Cathy Davis Hamlett, 56, Barnesville, possession of cocaine; Tiffany Ann Head, 27, The Rock, probation viola tion and failure to appear; Jermarcus Reshunn Johnson, 34, Barnesville, pro bation violation; Dyanna Rayne Kingsbury, 28, Barnesville, failure to appear; Bryant Antonio Lucas, 38, Barnesville, possession with intent of methamphetamine, reckless driving, failure to obey traffic control device and failure to maintain lane; Shelby Layne B. McGuire, 31, Thomaston, failure to appear, possession of drugs, alcohol, weapons or unauthorized items by a convicted felon, possession and use of drug related objects, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and purchase, posses sion, manufacture, distribution or sale of marijuana; Justin Ray McLendon, 33, Panama City, FL, failure to appear; Christopher Strange, 31, Knoxville, housed for Crawford County; Jeremiah Elijah Vansipe, 20, Barnesville, simple assault; Robert Hugh Wynn, 57, Barnesville, driving while license suspended or revoked; Brandy Michelle Zellner, 37, Barnesville, disorderly conduct. Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies answered 104 calls. Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 11 911 calls. Lamar County Fire Fighters responded to 27 911 calls. Barnesville Fire Fighters responded to four 911 calls. Community Ambulance Service responded to 53 calls. There were 12 accidents. Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies served 13 state warrants. Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies issued 32 traffic citations.
