6A %\)t lit-ralti <©a?ette Tuesday, July 20,2021 LCSO INCIDENT REPORT SUMMARY Compiled from a summary of incident reports completed by Lamar deputies during the period July 7-13, 2021. On July 7, Sgt. Bossie Davis worked a domestic disturbance at a home at 412 Martin Dairy Road in volving a man and his estranged wife who was staying at the location. A criminal trespass notice was issued to the husband instructing him to stay away from his wife. On July 7, Dep. Justyn Weaver was dispatched to a home at 180 Liberty Hill St. in Milner regarding a domestic dispute between Milner mayor Joseph Andy Marlowe, 41, and his wife, Holly Booth. Commissioner Nancy Thrash, Marlowe’s mother, met Weaver outside and asked him to turn off the blue lights on his patrol vehicle. Booth, who smelled of alcohol, said Marlowe had been choking her. There were no signs of any such incident and no evidence on Marlowe’s person. Booth finally said the incident had occurred previ ously. She said the current incident began when the daughter began acting out. She said Marlowe picked on her son. Marlowe agreed to leave the property. Dep. Weaver informed Milner police chief Michael Bai ley of the situation due to the incident being within the city limits and the public figures involved. On July 7, Dep. Weaver met with a man who said the tag on his vehicle had come off at a car wash in Griffin. On July 9, just before 11 p.m., Dep. William Holt was dispatched to a single-vehicle accident at the corner of Cook and Lamar County Line roads. He found an abandoned beige 2005 Ford Escape which had gone through a fence and taken down SRE power lines. The car, which was registered to Madison Wil liams, was impounded. On July 9, Sgt. Davis met with a woman who had an altercation with a neighbor at Bedsole’s Trailer Park over shooting fireworks. The woman said she and her nephew were shooting fireworks when the neighbor threatened her. She also said she thought the man fired a shot but was not sure. The woman was referred to magistrate court. On July 10, Dep. Holt met with a man who found a firearm in the middle of the road in Culloden. The gun was a loaded silver and black Taurus .357. The firearm was later turned over to Monroe County deputies. On July 12, Sgt. Davis worked a domestic dispute between a woman and her boyfriend at a home at 116 Liberty Bell Ln. The woman reported the male had been drinking. He had left the scene when Davis arrived. On July 13, Dep. Anthony Redding worked a domestic dispute at a home located at Hwy. 36 West involving a man and a woman. The male left before Redding arrived. Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies answered 117 calls. Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 12 911 calls. Lamar County Fire Fighters responded to 25 911 calls. Barnesville Fire Fighters responded to nine 911 calls. Community Ambulance Service responded to 62 calls. There were 11 accidents. Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies served six state warrants. Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies issued 49 traffic citations. POLICE REPORT Between Monday, July 12 and Monday, July 19 the Barnesville Police Department made the following arrests: Morgan Allen, 24, 210 Old Milner Rd., Barnesville, unauthorized use or distribution of drugs; David Rutland, 27, 234 Mill St., Barnesville, battery; Rachel Chilton, 40, 853 Van Buren Rd., Barnesville, driving without a license, speeding and two counts DUI. They answered 135 calls for service including: one fight, 31 security checks, one theft, one burglary, seven domestics, nine suspicious persons/vehicles, one speeding, three accidents, five alarms and five damage to property. They issued 17 citations including: one concealing tag, one driving while license suspended or revoked, one driving without a license, one operating with learner’s permit, one no license on person, one failure to maintain insurance, five speeding, one handsfree law, two DUI, two failure to stop and one headlight violation. FOR THE RECORD Pardons & Paroles Robert Cory Millen, who was convicted in Lamar County of motor vehicle theft and fleeing and at tempting to elude in 2000, has been pardoned. Millen also had convictions in Spalding and Henry County during the period 1995-96 on charges of motor vehicle theft, criminal damage to property, posses sion of a firearm by a convicted felon, theft by taking a firearm and theft by receiving stolen property. His constitutional rights, including the right to bear fire arms, were restored. Marriages: Diego Dario Martinez married Claire Marie Jones on July 9, 2021.
