Dear Parents and Students,
I am extremely excited to begin my sixth year as Principal of Lamar
County High School. I am also extremely proud of the fact that we
continue to be a five star school. It is our goal to continue to cultivate a
school culture and educational program that are conducive to student
learning and development. As your Principal, I will seek to foster
positive behavior, student and faculty teamwork, and cooperation in the
school environment. I want to be successful in the three As (academics,
athletics and the arts).
When you arrive at the high school you will notice the beautiful
facilities we are blessed with. We are looking forward to the great things
that will be accomplished this year! Please take the time to meet your
child’s teachers, obtain their contact information, and identify effective
ways to monitor your student’s progress throughout the year.
Studies have shown that parental involvement is a critical factor in a
student’s overall success. I hope that you will make it a priority to attend
as many school sponsored events and activities as possible. When you and
our dedicated team of teachers work together, your child receives the best
education. We are excited about the positive outcomes this partnership
will bring.

Lamar County Elementary School Parents:
Thank you for trusting the Lamar County Elementary School team
to educate your child. We are extremely excited and eager to provide
your child with a high-quality elementary education. The teachers
and teams at Lamar County Elementary School understand that
receiving a quality education is critical to your child’s development.
Therefore, we are committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure
that your child has a solid academic foundation, which will increase
the likelihood of success in college, career, and life.
The teachers at Lamar County Elementary School are on a mission
to recover the learning that was lost due to the pandemic. Beginning
on the first day of school, we will start getting to know our students
and their learning styles, and we will start to personalize each stu
dent’s learning experience based on benchmark assessments and oth
er data sources. Our teachers and teams will provide a challenging
instructional experience by differentiating instruction for each child,
which ensures a rigorous academic experience. To help diversify our
instructional program and ensure that students have a well-rounded
school experience, every student will participate in physical educa
tion, art, music, Math extension, and a variety of clubs.
The teachers and teams at Lamar County Elementary School are
committed to serving our students and families but we know that
parents play a very important role in ensuring that students can
take full advantage of the Lamar County Elementary School expe
rience. It is with eagerness and excitement that we welcome you to
the campus. We look forward to working with you in a collaborative
relationship holding each other accountable for doing whatever it
takes to provide the finest education that Lamar County Elementary
School can offer.
The following is a list of new procedures and offerings for the up
coming school year:
(1) Clubs will meet every other Monday after school from 3:45-
4:30 instead of Thursday to protect instructional time, (2) parents
are welcome on campus and in school, (3) each grade level will use
a school-wide organizational system using 3-ring binders, (4) our
school counselor will facilitate monthly parent meetings, and much,
much more. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me
at 770-358-5556 or 770-827-7855. We look forward to working with
you to achieve your child’s educational goals.
Running the Race to Rigor, Relevance, and Relationships!

Dear Students and Parents,
Welcome back to Lamar County Middle School. I hope you
had a great summer and are ready to learn new things this school
year. 2020 was a challenging school year for everyone and your
teachers are ready to prepare our students for the best educational
experience possible this upcoming school year. The Lamar County
Middle School staff will challenge each student to do their best
every day, give quality, standards-based instruction bell to bell, and
prepare each student for advancement in every subject. We value
every child’s education at Lamar County Middle School and we
appreciate all the support from our district and community! Every
student is given an agenda to use for writing down homework
assignments, notes from teachers to their parents, and any other
notes needed. As a parent, it is vital that you review it very often
and sign it if there are notes from teachers written in it. Teachers
use the agenda to inform you of things going on with your child’s
education. Please feel free to contact your child’s teacher or the
administration when you have concerns on any matter. If your
child needs more assistance with any class please feel free to get
with their teachers about tutoring after school as long as you can
provide transportation for your child. Parental involvement is one
of the major keys to any schools success and we want to make your
child’s education the best in the state of Georgia.

them for college, career, and life. We are delighted to be serving our
community.
Our students will be the top priority. We want you to know that

impact on the experience your child has while in our care. We know
that student success can be increased through meaningful and pos

we form between home, school, and community. Establishing this
expectation during their primary school years is critical.
We encourage you to take full advantage of the opportunities
we provide for shared student success. We will provide you the
School-Parent Compact and our Parent/Family Engagement Plan.

i-Ready Math will be introduced to your child upon his/her return.
