LCSO INCIDENT REPORT SUMMARY
Compiled from a summary of incident reports
completed by Lamar deputies during the period Sept.
1-7, 2021.
On September 1, Dep. Anthony Redding was
dispatched to the intersection of Old Hwy. 41 and the
four lane near Milner where a woman had struck a
pig, damaging her car. The vehicle was uninsured.
On Sept. 1, Dep. Ashley Johnson met with a
woman at the sheriff’s office regarding harassing com
munications. She reported an altercation at Ingle’s
followed by threatening and obscene text messages.
Dep. Mike Womack met with the sender of the mes
sages and instructed him to stop all communications
with the victim.
On Sept. 1, Dep. Destiny Valenzuela met with a
woman who reported her Wells Fargo account had
been compromised. She found 69 fraudulent charges
on her account that involved about $12,000. A report
was filed for her dealings with the bank.

appear, tag light violation, open container and driving
while license suspended or revoked;
Jeremiah Elijah Vansipe, 20, Barnesville, public
drunkenness;
Christian Levi Werner, 19, Milner, failure to appear
and making false report of a crime;
Robby Fulton Whitehead, 40, Forsyth, wanted out
of Jackson.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies answered 106
calls.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 12
911 calls.
Lamar County Fire Fighters responded to 58 911
calls.
Barnesville Fire Fighters responded to two 911
calls.
Community Ambulance Service responded to 87
calls.
There were eight accidents.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies served seven state
warrants.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies issued 18 traffic
citations.

An application has been received from IDI Land Holdings. LLC to rezone property from
Agricultural-Residential to Manufacturing-2 and to request a Special Exception for the
removal of minerals (rock quarry). The property contains 331.24 acres and is located on
the corner of Crawford Road and Hwy 41 South, Tax Map 094, Parcel 013, as record
ed in Deed Book 1120 Pages 337-340. This application requires the following public
hearings: the Lamar County Planning Board will host a public hearing for the rezoning
of the property on September 16. 2021 at 9:00 am; the Lamar County Board of Appeals
will host a public hearing for the Special Exception request on September 16, 2021
at 6:00 pm; the Board of Commissioners will host a public hearing for the rezoning
and the special exception on September 21, 2021 at 6:00 pm. A final decision on this
application may be made by the Board of Commissioners during their regular business
meeting to be held after the public hearing on September 21, 2021.
