(9-7)(4)(p) PUBLIC NOTICE MISC NOTICE OF SEIZURE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 9-16-1 et. seq., any party claiming an interest in the following property is hereby notified that the following property was seized by the undersigned agency in Lamar County, Georgia: ONE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS AND THIRTY-FIVE CENTS ($1,750.35) IN UNITED STATES CURRENCY AND A 1994 FORD MUSTANG (VIN # 1FALP45T2RF128291). Conduct giving such rise to said seizure was as follows: In June of 2021, Sgt. Keith Kendrick of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Of fice began an investigation regarding drug transactions at 150 Holmes Street in Barnesville, Georgia. This is the residence of Jacob Standridge. Sgt. Kendrick received information from a confidential informant that Mr. Standridge was selling methamphetamine from his residence. Sgt. Kendrick began surveillance of the residence on June 28, 2021, which continued until July 28, 2021. During the surveil lance period, Sgt. Kendrick noticed several vehicles arrive at the residence and leave within a very short period of time. Due to this surveillance and the information provided by the confidential informant, Sgt. Kendrick suspected that indeed drug transac tions were taking place at Mr. Standridge’s residence. On multiple occasions, Sgt. Kendrick witnessed Mr. Standridge arrive at the resi dence in a 1994 Ford Mus tang. Moreover, Sgt. Kend rick, using an undercover confidential informant, pur chased methamphetamine from Mr. Standridge at his residence on Holmes Street on July 26, 2021, and also on August 4, 2021. Sgt. Kend rick then procured a search warrant for the residence, which was served on August 13, 2021, however, Mr. Standridge was not there. He was found at 123 Stafford Avenue in Barnes ville, Georgia. He arrived at that location in his 1994 Ford Mustang. He was then arrested and underneath his leg on a couch was found a bag of suspected methamphetamine, empty individual plastic baggies, and suspected hydrocodone pills in a bottle. Also found on his person was $1750.35 in cash in numerous denominations, which is indicative of money used in drug transactions. The cash and vehicle were ultimately seized by Sgt. Kendrick in Lamar County on August 13, 2021. Mr. Standridge was charged with the Sale of Methamphetamine, Posses sion of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute and Distribution of a Controlled Substance within 1,000 Feet of a School. Mr. Standridge currently has pending mul tiple drug offenses in Lamar County: Possession of Meth amphetamine (case number 21C-098) and Possession of Methamphetamine (case number 21C-129). Claimants who may have an interest in said property are JACOB STANDRIDGE. Said property was used in violation of O.C.G.A. § 9-16-1 et. seq., and 16-13-49 et. seq. in that the item(s) was/were used to facilitate the posses sion, sale, and distribution of controlled substances and/or marijuana and/or are proceeds derived or real ized therefrom and that said item was used directly or indirectly used or intended for use in any manner to facilitate a violation of O.C.G.A.
