LCSO INCIDENT REPORT SUMMARY
Compiled from a summary of incident reports
completed by Lamar deputies during the period Oct.
13-19, 2021.
On Oct. 15, Sgt. Bossie Davis worked a child custo
dy/visitation complaint at a home on Crawford Road.
On Oct. 15, Dep. Destiny Valenzuela was dis
patched to 418 High Falls Park Rd. where a vehicle
had run over and destroyed a mailbox.
On Oct. 16, Dep. Justyn Weaver was dispatched to
Country Court Motel on Hwy. 341 South to work a dis
pute between a trucker and his employer. The trucker
said he had not been paid. The employer reported
he withheld pay due to damages to a truck the driver
was responsible for. Both parties were referred to
magistrate court.
On Oct. 16, Sgt. Bossie Davis was dispatched to a
Taylor Street home regarding a vehicle that had hit a
deer on Hwy. 341 doing extensive damage.
On Oct. 17, Dep. Justyn Weaver worked a traffic
accident involving a blue Nissan Sentra and a White
Honda Accord at the intersection of Barnesville and
Morgan Dairy roads. A computer check revealed one
of the drivers, 60-year-old Athena K. Turner, has a sus
pended license due to two counts of failure to appear
in court.
Turner was cuffed and warned that a strip search
of her person would be done at the jail and she
should tell Weaver if she had any contraband on her
person. Turner replied she “shouldn’t” have anything

POLICE REPORT
Xavier Hunter, 29, 104 Jackson St., Barnesville,
improper turn and DUI;
Angela Williamson, 48, 236 Atlanta St., Barnesville,
driving on suspended license;
Christopher Smith, 47, RO. Box 712, Barnesville,
driving on suspended license;
Robert Russell, 32, 803 Piedmont Woods Cir.,
Barnesville, driving while license suspended or re
voked and speeding;
Jerome McFadden, 51, 8 Jenkins St., Barnesville,
warrants out of Lamar County.
There were 129 calls for service.
They issued 20 citations including: one no tag, five
driving while license suspended or revoked, two fail
ure to maintain insurance, two improper turns, one
noise violation, one failure to stop, six speeding, one
DUI and one headlight violation.

At the jail, a white pill fell out of Turner’s vaginal
canal and was recovered. It was determined to be
oxycodone. Turner was charged with following too
close, failure of driver to use due care, possession of
a controlled substance, crossing guard lines with con
traband, suspended license and drugs not in original
container.
On July 22, Dep. Barclay Banta and Dep. Jonathan
Hamrick were dispatched to the fire station on The
Rock Road where they met with a woman about Dar
ryl Frye, 29, who the complainant said was harassing
mourners at the funeral of Stan (Hambone) Hamrick.
The woman said Frye was off his meds, acting out and
might be at Hamrick’s residence on Piedmont Road.
Banta, Jonathan Hamrick and Capt. Chris Webster
went to the residence and found Frye’s cellphone and
wallet on the ground.
Hambone Hamrick’s Harley-Davidson motorcycle
was missing. April Hamrick reported Frye was acting
out and had struck her. Deputies received information
that Frye may have a double-barrel shotgun.
Frye rode by the residence on the Harley and was
taken into custody by Sgt. Jerry Meadows. He went to
jail charged with battery and theft by taking a motor
vehicle.
On Oct. 19, Dep. Banta worked an accident in
which a Barnesville Police Department Patrol car
driven by Cpl. Michael Blankenship hit a deer in the
300 block of Old Milner Road.
