NOTICE IS HEREBY
GIVEN that on the 2nd
day of November, 2021,
an election will be held at
the regular polling places
in all the election districts
of Lamar County, Georgia
(the “County”), at which
time there will be submit
ted to the qualified voters
of the County for their
determination the question
of whether a one percent
(1/6) Transportation Special
Purpose Local Option Sales
Tax (TSPLOST) shall be
imposed on all sales and
uses in the County for a
period of time not to exceed
five (5) years commencing
April 1, 2022, and for the
raising of approximately
$12,200,000 for the purpose
of funding the transporta
tion purposes and projects
for Lamar County, the Cities
of Barnesville and Milner,
and the Town of Aldora.
The ballots to be used
at said election shall have
written or printed thereon
substantially the following:

Shall a special one
percent (1 %) sales and
use tax be imposed in the
special district consisting of
Lamar County for a period
of time not to exceed five
years and for the raising of
not more than an estimated
$12,200,000 for transporta
tion purposes?
If the imposition of the
tax is approved by the
voters, such vote shall also
constitute approval of the
issuance of general obliga
tion debt of Lamar County
in the principal amount not
to exceed $10,550,000 for
the above purposes.
If the imposition of such
tax is approved by the vot
ers in Lamar County, such
vote shall also constitute
approval of the issuance of
general obligation debt of
Lamar County in the prin
cipal amount not to exceed
$10,500,000 (the “County
Bonds”), the proceeds of
the County Bonds, if issued,
to be applied by the County
toward the projects de
scribed above and the costs
of issuance of such debt.
The County Bonds, if so
authorized, may be issued
by the County in whole
or in part and shall bear
interest from the first day
of the month during which
the County Bonds are to be
issued or from such other
date as may be designated
by the County prior to the
issuance of the County
Bonds, at a rate or rates not
to exceed 5.0% per annum,
the maximum amount of
principal to be paid in each
year during the life of such
debt shall be as follows:

The principal and inter
est on the County Bonds are
expected to be paid from
proceeds of the transporta
tion sales and use tax and
shall be payable in lawful
money of the United States
of America at a paying agent
bank which will be designat
ed by the County prior to
the issuance of the County
Bonds.
Any brochures, listings
or other advertisements
issued by Lamar County or
by any other person, firm,
corporation or association
with the knowledge and
consent of Lamar County,
shall be deemed to be a
statement of intention of
Lamar County concerning
the use of the proceeds of
the County Bonds, and such
statement of intention shall
be binding on Lamar County
in the expenditure of any
such bond funds or interest
received from such bond
funds which have been
invested.
The several places
for holding said election
shall be at the regular and
established voting precincts
of the election districts of
Lamar County, and the polls
will be open from 7:00 a.m.
to 7:00 p.m. on the date
fixed for the election.
The last day to register
in this election shall be
Monday, October 4, 2021.
Those residents of the
County qualified to vote
at said election shall be
determined in all respects
in accordance with the
election laws of the State of
Georgia.
This notice is given
pursuant to a resolution of
Lamar County, Georgia.
