FAITH & VALUES
Pastor Benny Tate
pens first book
Defy The Odds is
Pastor Benny Tate’s first
published book that has
been picked up by Har
vest House Publishers.
Harvest House Publish
ers owner, Bob Hawkins,
reached out in the Fall
of 2020 after reading
the first few chapters
of the manuscript and
expressed interest in
publishing the book.
Harvest House publishes
Christian authors such
as Stormie Omartian who
is known for The Power
of a Praying Wife and
well-known pastor and
author, Dr. Tony Evans.
The book has had
incredible support along
the way from well-known
figures who have con
tributed to the book
whether by writing a
foreword or providing
an endorsement. Pastor
Jentezen Franklin wrote a
tremendous Foreword for
the book. Other endorse
ment contributions were
made by John C. Max
well, Roma Downey, John
Calipari, Ruth Graham,
and many others.
The book is scheduled
to release on January 4,
2022 from all major retail
ers such as Amazon,
Barnes and Noble, Books-
A-Million, Target, Lifeway,
and many others. The
book will also release
in Audiobook format as
well.
However, the Defy
The Odds released early
to the Rock Springs fam
ily on November. It was
a tremendous release
day for the book! Pas
tor Benny Tate sincerely
stated that Defy The
Odds has never been
about a man, but it is
about a message that will
motivate a movement. He
believes that this mes
sage of hope will create
a movement in which
people will begin believ
ing God for bigger!
After being available
for purchase to the Rock
Springs family only one
day, 6,000 copies of Defy
The Odds have been pur
chased! Along with indi
viduals purchasing books
for themselves and
family members, many
community leaders and
business owners have
purchased large quanti
ties of books to give as
Christmas gifts to their
colleagues. What better
gift to give someone this
year than a message of
hope!
Early release copies
can still be purchased
before January at DTO-
Book.com.
Also, Senator Burt
Jones surprised Pas
tor Benny at the end of
the 11 o’clock service
on November 7 with an
official road sign pre
sentation to show that
a section of Highway 36
will be named “Pastor Dr.
Benny Tate Parkway” in
his honor.
