Between Friday, December 10 and Thursday, De
cember 16 the following were processed through the
Lamar County jail:

methamphetamine or amphetamine;

counts bench warrant;

Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies answered 117
calls.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to six
911 calls.
Lamar County Fire Fighters responded to 29 911
calls.
Barnesville Fire Fighters responded to two 911
calls.
Community Ambulance Service responded to 60
calls.
There were nine accidents.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies served nine state
warrants.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies issued four traffic
citations.

POLICE REPORT
Between Monday, December 13 and Monday, De
cember 20 the Barnesville Police Department made
the following arrests:
Antwan Bentley, 33, 214 Willis Cir., Forsyth, theft
by receiving stolen property;
Zakarian Dixson, 25, 601 Gordon Rd., Barnesville,
driving while license suspended or revoked and open
container;
O’Russell Sheehan, 26, 260 Dutchman Dr., Griffin,
DU1;
Rebekah Greene, 47, 239 Bottoms Rd., Barnesville,
warrants for another agency;
There were 186 calls for service including: one
fight, 77 security checks, two loud music, seven
domestics, nine foot patrols, 11 suspicious persons/
vehicles, 15 accidents, one intoxicated driver, 12
alarms, one drug traffic and two damage to property.
They issued 27 citations including: one driving on
suspended license, one driving with suspended tag,
four speeding, six handsfree law, one DU1, one tail
light violation, 11 seat belt violations and two open
container.
CALENDAR ITEMS
• Volunteers Needed: Milner Friends of the Library
meeting 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 4 at Milner Library
Community Room.
• The Martin-Moore American Legion Post 25, is
now meeting again at the newly remodeled Women’s
Club House on Stafford Avenue, the fourth Thursday
of each month at 5 p.m. for the winter months. Return
to 6 p.m. in April 2022. All veterans are invited.
