Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies answered 102
calls.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 50
911 calls Lamar. County Fire Fighters responded to 12
911 calls.
Barnesville Fire Fighters responded to five 911
calls.
Community Ambulance Service responded to 47
calls.
There were seven accidents.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies served seven
state warrants.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies issued six traffic
citations.

Between Monday, April 11 and Monday, April 18
the Barnesville Police Department made the following
arrests:
William Terry, 2609 Northmore Dr., Macon, driving
on suspended license;
Danarre McDowell, 17, 217 Mill St., Barnesville, ag
gravated assault;
Melvin Willis, 32, 1881 Kitchens Rd., Macon, sale,
deliver or distributing marijuana, possession and use
of drug related objects, handsfree law, DU1 and failure
to maintain lane;
Cedric Burden, 32, 627 Greenwood St., Apt. U,
Barnesville, two counts possession of less than an
ounce of marijuana, possession and use of drug
related objects, no license on person, failure to obey
traffic control device, open container and two counts
DU1;
Marcus Foster, 49, 302 MLK Dr., Forsyth, driving
while license suspended or revoked.
They issued 210 calls for service including one
fight, one rape or reported rape, seven animal com
plaints, two thefts, one criminal trespass, two bur
glaries, 15 domestics, 28 suspicious persons/vehicles,
three speeding, four accidents, two intoxicated pe
destrian, one hit and run, two alarms, three fires, one
damage to property and one unwanted person.
They issued 55 citations including: one possession
of less than an ounce of marijuana, one possession
and use of drug related objects, four driving with
out a tag, three expired tags, one operating with 1RP
registration, two driving while license suspended or
revoked, one driving without a license, one no license
on person, one expired license, three driving with
suspended tag, one move over law, 16 speeding, two
running red light, one open container, two DU1, one
failure to maintain lane, one failure to stop, one no
tail lights, six headlight violations, one failure to dim
headlights, two driving unsafe vehicle, one theft by
shoplifting and two obstruction.

The State of Georgia, in

(HUD) regulations, has pre
pared a draft version of the
State’s Consolidated Annual
Action Plan for the Federal
Fiscal Year 2022-2023. The
State of Georgia will host a
public hearing and webinar
to present the 2023 Annual
Action Plan. This FY23 An
nual Action Plan is the fifth
year of the five-year 2018-
2022 Consolidated Planning
period. The Annual Action
Plan outlines the activities
that will be undertaken in
the program year (October
1, 2022 to September 30,
2023). The six federally
funded HUD programs cov
ered by the Action Plan are
Community Development
Block Grant (CDBG), Com
munity Development Block
Grant - Disaster Recovery
(CDBG-DR), HOME Invest
ment Partnership (HOME),
Emergency Solutions Grant
(ESG), Housing Opportuni
ties for Persons with AIDS
(HOPWA), and the National
Housing Trust Fund (NHTF).
