Between Friday, April 15 and Thursday, April 21
the following were processed through the Lamar
County jail:
Cedric Burden, 32, Barnesville, no license on
person, possession of less than an ounce of mari
juana, failure to obey traffic signal, transactions/drug
related objects and use, two counts DU1 and open
container;
Brian Allen Helbe, 21, Barnesville, aggravated child
molestation, aggravated sexual battery and child
molestation;
Yong Rui Liu, 35, West Covina, CA, possession of
marijuana with intent to distribute;
Charlie Mays, 55, Barnesville, probation violation;
Jamitchell Tyhiene Owens, 42, Barnesville, wanted
out of Monroe County;
Stacy Bernard Pennyman, 52, Thomaston, obstruc
tion of officers and theft by shoplifting;
Kaitylyn Elizabeth Piper, 27, Barnesville, probation

Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies answered 107
calls.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 52
911 calls.
Lamar County Fire Fighters responded to 18 911
calls.
Barnesville Fire Fighters responded to three 911
calls.
AmeriPro EMS responded to 45 calls.
There were six accidents.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies served six state
warrants.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies issued four traffic
citations.
POLICE REPORT
Between Monday, April 18 and Monday, April 25
the Barnesville Police Department made the following
arrests:
Brian Helble, 21, 502 Atlanta St., Lot 4, Barnesville,
child molestation and aggravated child molestation;
Charlie Mays, 55, 112 Annie May Harris Dr., Barnes
ville, probation violation;
Andrew Jones, 56, homeless, Barnesville, theft by
shoplifting.
They answered 58 calls for service including: one
fight, five security checks, one welfare check, six
domestics, 10 foot patrols, six suspicious persons/
vehicles, three accidents, one hit and run, two alarms
and one unwanted person.
They issued 37 citations including: one expired
tag, one operating without 1RP insurance, one failure
to maintain insurance, one driving with suspended
tag, 15 speeding, one running red light, two handsfree
law, one failure to maintain lane, one following too
closely, one failure to stop, two failure to yield, three
headlight violations, two tag light violations, one
spotlight/foglight/auxiliary light violation, three seat
belt violations and one theft by shoplifting.

B&G Club offers summer
camps, seeks volunteers
The Barnesville Boys & Girls Club will host a sum
mer camp and registration is ongoing. The camp will
accept children who are in grades 3-7 this school
year.
The camp will run June 6 - July 15 from 9 a.m. - 5
p.m. daily. Activities will include field trips, outdoor
adventures and arts and crafts.
The fee is $100.
The club is also seeking volunteers to help with
kids.
