LCSO INCIDENT REPORT SUMMARY
Compiled from a summary of incident reports
completed by Lamar deputies during the period April
27-May 3, 2022.
On April 27, Dep. Anthony Redding was stationary
and monitoring traffic on Ga. Hwy. 7 when he spotted
a black Ford Explorer with no tag light and stopped it
near Hot Shot. The driver, Michael Stephens, admit
ted his license was suspended. He also admitted to
having a syringe in his pocket and to having just used
meth.
Two passengers, Tydrick Coley, 35, and a female
named Kori were removed from the vehicle. Redding
noticed Coley trying to hide something in the front of
his pants. A meth pipe eventually fell out of his pants
and Coley tried to stomp on it and smash it.
Coley went to jail charged with possession of
drug related objects and tampering with evidence.
Stephens and the female went to jail on outstanding
warrants.
On April 28, Dep. Barclay Banta was dispatched to
a home at 239 Bottoms Rd. with regard to a domes
tic dispute involving Ian Cox, Rachel Wilson, Sherry
Wilson and Kenneth Colado. Colado, 62, was arrested.
Dep. Mike Womack was called in to assist.

Between Friday, April 29 and Thursday, May 5 the

Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies answered 123
calls. Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to
51 911 calls. Lamar County Fire Fighters responded
to 18 911 calls. Barnesville Fire Fighters responded
to three 911 calls. Community Ambulance Service re
sponded to 47 calls. There were six accidents. Lamar
County Sheriff’s Deputies served nine state warrants.
Lamar County Sheriff’s Deputies issued eight traffic
citations.
