Grand Marshal enjoys the ride
Young McKinzIe Kent was all smiles as she tried out the
bungee jump in the Buggy Days kids park Saturday morn
ing. The 48th annual festival was blessed with almost perfect
weather all weekend long.
The community’s 2021 Citizen of the Year Andy Bush served as grand marshal of the Buggy Days parade. Last year’s parade
was cancelled due to COVID.
The 2022 Citizen of the Year Niall Matthison humbly declined to ride in the parade. Large crowds lined the entire parade
route Saturday afternoon.
Little firetruck wows the big crowd
The miniature firetruck from the Lamar County Fire Department is always a big hit at the parade and this year was no exception. Piloting the little red contraption are volunteer firefighter
Adam Andrews and his daughter Annaleigh.
